I have been craving a burger for three weeks and had no desire to get something from a cheap place full of processed filler meat. This is the first burger I’ve had since 2011 and was what my body was craving and it really hit the spot. Everything was absolutely perfect about it -from the bun to the meat and the cheese, it made me feel so good. I can’t wait for my next one thank you !!

This is my favorite organic burger spot! So thankful to have a slot to grab quick organic food. Everything tastes super fresh and high quality, and they have great options for different diets. I especially love their gluten-free chicken sandwich, and their burgers and truffle fries are amazing too. Definitely a place I keep coming back to!

First time customer but overall a disappointing experience so not planning on returning. The breaded chicken burger was soggy from the burger sauce, fries were unbelievably salty and completely inedible. The veggie burger was meh – just mush in the mouth. Hamburger was a bit dry also. The server was super friendly but he got part of our order wrong. As we were waiting for our food another previous customer came back and said his order was incorrect too. This place is rather shambolic! Such a shame as its such a great location and the beef is apparently from Butchers Block. No excuses – management need to sort the place out!

My girlfriend and I chose to try Hearthly Burger, located at 520 Broad Street, Shrewsbury, NJ, because we eat organic and rarely eat meat, we thought this would be a good place to try a burger.
I have severe gluten allergy and they claim gluten free options
While our food was being prepared, the cook — wearing the same gloves used for food handling — began spraying a chemical degreaser approximately six inches below the food prep table.(yes the food was on the table)
We could clearly see the mist drifting near the food. Because of the visible chemical spray near active food preparation, and due to my serious gluten allergy, we politely asked that the food be remade.
The response ( not a word was said) from staff made us feel as though we were the problem for raising the concern. The (cook and who had zero cleanliness) appeared upset and threw the food into the garbage with force ! and no explanation, apology, or reassurance was offered.
From our perspective, chemical degreasers and food preparation should never occur at the same time.
After I clarified that this was a food safety issue, a second employee stepped in and properly remade the food, which I appreciated.
The food itself was poor to fair. Despite this being a to-go order, we still tipped 18%, yet the overall experience reflected very poor customer service.
If a food safety officer had been present, this would likely have been a very bad day for the restaurant.
Would I return? Never.
Will I share this experience with friends? Yes.

I have eaten here before. It was fine. This time two negatives. For a pick up order they automatically add a tip and don’t tell you until you see the receipt. Second. The burger was smothered with red cabbage. No in the menu did they mention that. I’m going to OutBack next time.

Because Hearthy Burger gets organic and/or free range sources for their meats and chicken. With a single exception, nothing in the restaurant contains any seed oils. Similarly, they avoid high fructose corn syrup. They replaced them with oils rich in omega 3!
Ok, great? That doesn’t mean anything if the food doesn’t taste good! So how are the burgers?
Among the best I have tasted in my life!

I just wish they had more places and were a bit more affordable. But this restaurant is a one of a kind and should be considered a gold standard for burgers going forward.

The burgers there are always delicious. The truffles fries are a family favorite. Their in house organic drinks are excellent as well. The only downside is the parking.

This place is such a let down. They used to have great vegan options and sauces but almost nothing is vegan now. They serve a bland veggie burger that falls apart. The vegan milkshakes are good though. Overall it is way too expensive for what it is.

Just had lunch at Hearthly Burger. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING BURGER!! I know my burgers everything about it was fantastic. The smashed style beef patty, pickled peppers, shredded mescaline lettuce and the in house BBQ sauce. Place was warm and inviting, great outdoor seating. Very friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back and try the other burgers.
