Our drinks never got close to empty, and the appetizers arrived at the perfect time — absolutely delicious. The sauce on the croquettes was an incredible blend of flavors (so good we had to ask for extra bread to soak up every last bit!).
Our entrée did take a little longer than expected, but we were enjoying ourselves so much that it didn’t bother us at all. When our wonderful waiter, Chris, let us know our steaks were being remade to ensure they were exactly as ordered, we truly appreciated the care. And it was worth the wait — everything turned out perfectly.
This just might be our new favorite place. We’ll definitely be back.
The food was fabulous. We tried the Pita bread, the fried chicken, pork belly, and pork chop. Each dish had its own little twist and I loved them all. The food also came much quicker than I was expecting!
Overall it was a great restaurant to have a nice date night at! One thing I read in other reviews that I want to try next time was sitting at the chef’s table, I’m not sure how to request it but it sounds like a fun evening!
Highly recommend!
We HAD to post about this new hidden gem in Hendersonville, NC…and quite possibly our new favorite restaurant! Hearth and Herron is absolutely worth the drive!
For an upscale dining experience with elevated twists on classic dishes, this is one restaurant that you have to get off the main Downtown street to try!
For our appetizer, we got the delicious feta cheese skillet with locally made sourdough bread and roasted veggies. Not exaggerating when we say we could have eaten a couple more of those for our meal and been happy! Sadie got the grilled hickory hanger steak with whipped mashed potatoes, and Cal got the wood roasted lamb with potatoes and yogurt sauce. The meats were tender and extremely flavorful, and the sauces complemented the dishes perfectly. Our waitress was fantastic and so kind. Sadie has a digestive issue where she can’t have corn, and the waitress and chef were so accommodating about substituting the corn on the hangar steak for mashed potatoes. We can’t wait to come back!
Do yourself a favor and add Hearth and Herron to your must-try restaurant list!!

See you soon!! AMAZING!¡ From the waitress to the expeditor- all phenomenal-
We started with the ribs, croquettes, and sourdough and every appetizer was incredible. The flavors were unreal and everything was cooked perfectly. I ordered the After Burn tequila drink and it tasted amazing with just the right kick.
The hostess was outstanding and made us feel welcome right away. The owner and chef personally brought out the steak, took a photo with us, and was incredibly friendly. The steak was hands down the best steak I have ever had. This is honestly the best food I have ever eaten.
The service was awesome. Food came out fast, servers were on point with everything, and nothing was missed even though the restaurant was completely full. The atmosphere was amazing and you could feel how special the place is the moment you walk in.
This place stays packed for a reason so make sure you make reservations early and double check the date. An absolute must visit and we will definitely be back.
The menu celebrates local and fresh ingredients, and it really shines through. My highlights were the heirloom tomato salad with burrata (incredible, super fresh and bursting with flavor), the hanger steak (perfectly cooked), and the croquettes (a must-try!).
On top of the food, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a super friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. It’s family-owned, and that personal touch is felt throughout the whole experience.
Highly recommend this spot, you won’t be disappointed!
Some of my personal favorites were the heirloom tomatoes, hanger steak, and pasta. Each one was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The chef’s attention to detail is truly impressive, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into every plate.
Hearth & Herron is an absolute gem and a must-visit if you’re in town. I’m already looking forward to coming back!
