First time visiting. Ordered the H&H Brisket Sandwich and the Meat and Mashed. The portions were perfect, and the ingredients all tasted fresh and hearty. Heart and Health has a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. The owner is a great guy who is clearly dedicated to the quality of his food. While I waited for my takeout, I enjoyed a pepper-rubbed rib with pepper peach habanero sauce. This was legitimately the best rib I’ve ever had in my life. Will definitely have to return and dine-in next time.

More than fine cuisine, Heart & Hearth offers a cozy, warm & welcoming space just as the name suggests. Their broad menu features drool-worthy smoked meats paired with artful expertise into sandwiches & soups. There are also breakfast items, baked goods, vegetarian & vegan options! You can peruse their shelves to discover produce, fresh bread, small-batch vinegars, kombucha, honey & more. The Curd Vonnegut had baked lemon pepper tofu, carrots & the best parsnips I’ve ever had on a crunchy baguette. The interplay of flavors was simply divine! We also had the meatloaf; the only thing understated about it was its name! That recipe is gold. There is a small dining room in the back with a vinyl record collection & player, & local art displayed on the walls tying a wonderful community aspect into this grassroots, homegrown heartful eatery. 5 stars!

This place is a small welcoming deli. Their menu has many yummy hand crafted sandwiches. I had the Smoked Turkey Sandwich and it was delicious! Owners Colleen and Jim are amazing people. Must go there and sample their wares!!!

We found this perfect little gem on our way home from a visit to Kutztown University. The food was fresh, delicious, and healthy. We loved the recommendations from the staff and our brisket sandwiches were perfectly tender with succulent sauces. We enjoyed a vanilla/lemon/buttercream cupcake that was simply divine – fresh, not too sweet, and simply delicious. The atmosphere is adorable and cozy. Playing the Beatles Rubber Soul Album on the record player was fun, providing just the right amount of nostalgia while we enjoyed our fantastic lunch. Highly recommend!

I haven’t had anything less than 10/10 from their menu, the owners have offered helpful suggestions when I can’t decide. I got to try their ribs today and the flavor and the homemade sauces were delicious. Also, the desserts hit the spot every time for a sweet treat after a savory meal! Highly recommend!

Everything here feels thoughtfully made. The owner sources ingredients locally and you can genuinely taste the care in every dish — fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. The food is amazing and has that “homey but elevated” local vibe.
Their spicy cider is especially fantastic, perfect for cold weather. On top of that, the owner is incredibly warm and welcoming.
If you get the chance this year, definitely stop by. Highly recommended.

This place is definitely worth a visit! My husband and I stopped after a quick google search and we are so glad we did! My husband had the pastrami and I had the H & H brisket sandwich. We sat in the cute back dining room where there was a record player that we could put on a record, listen to some music, and eat our lunch. The owner was very welcoming and explained the menu choices. I wish we lived closer—but I can see us venturing to kutztown again to eat here!!! You don’t want to miss this gem!!!

Stopped in with my daughter and her friend on a “whim choice”. Such a great place! We received a welcoming introduction and explanation of the menu. I ordered the reuben. My daughter and her friend each ordered the tomato soup and smoked turkey sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their meal! The dining room had a warm feel too it. Great atmosphere! We will be back!!

We met friends at Heart and Hearth on December 23 at the recommendation of our daughter who is an amazing cook. Wow, was she right about this gem. These are artisans that love food. The Rueben was incredible. The ribs were the best I have ever had (and that includes Memphis). The atmosphere is wonderful and peaceful. We would gladly drive an hour again to enjoy this experience. Well done!
