Stopped into Hazelwood in St. Louis Park for happy hour around 5:00pm on a weekday, and had a good experience. My wife and I grabbed seats at the bar, it was busy for happy hour but didn’t feel too chaotic. You could see the kitchen cranking out food at a solid pace.

I had the Hazelwood pizza for $9 during happy hour and added pepperoni for an extra $1. We also shared the chicken wings, which are $9 at happy hour (six wings). The wings were buttermilk marinated, lightly fried, tossed in garlic butter, and finished with chives and pecorino, really well done and full of flavor. The pizza was solid too, with a good crust and plenty of pep. My wife ordered the tuna poke bowl, which was fresh and tasty.

Overall, Hazelwood delivered good food, good drinks, and is kind of an upscale neighborhood bar. Definitely a great happy hour spot, and we’ll be back

Hazelwood in St. Louis Park is the kind of restaurant that makes you realize how many places out there are confidently serving mediocre food while calling it “chef inspired.” Every time we’re in town this place is basically a required stop, because once you eat here it’s hard to go back to restaurants where the highlight is the free water. We started with the house-made cheese balls and jam, which sounds like something invented when the kitchen ran out of normal ideas and just started pointing at random ingredients. Cheese… and jam… together… on purpose. It shouldn’t work, and honestly I almost judged it before trying it, but somehow it’s stupid good. Crispy outside, molten cheese inside, and the jam makes the whole thing taste like a delicious accident you keep repeating.
Then came the filet mignon, and this thing was so tender and juicy I felt like I owed the cow an apology and maybe a thank-you card. You don’t cut this steak so much as gently guide the knife through it. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and the kind of meal that makes you sit there quietly for a minute like you just learned something about life. Easily some of the best food in the state, and that’s not hype — that’s just what happens when people actually know how to cook.
Service was great too. Our waiter looked like Marshawn Lynch working a side quest in Minnesota, and the guy had everything handled. Drinks stayed full, food showed up right, and he moved around like a professional instead of someone just hoping the shift ends soon.
The place itself looks sharp and modern with big windows and high ceilings — the kind of place where you expect the prices to hurt your feelings. The bill came out around $94, which at first feels like adult money until you realize you just ate food that actually deserves it.
Hazelwood isn’t just good — it’s mandatory when we’re in town. If we drove past this place to eat somewhere else, it would feel like intentionally making a bad decision.

Tried the szechuan green beans (100% must try, they have a kick to them though, FYI), Burrata and the pomegranate glazed salmon. All was delicious and would definitely order again. But for next time, I’d like try the rest of delicious sounding items on the menu.

Excellent mood. Food was similar to cheesecake factory but a step up. Reasonable prices with reasonable quality. Will go again.

I had an amazing experience at Hazelwood! The petite filet was cooked to perfection—nice and red on the inside, almost as if it were still moving. A good vet could probably resuscitate it! The fries were perfect, with a crunchy exterior and a soft, delicious interior. As for the hash browns, oh my goodness! They were cheesy and creamy, reminiscent of a great bowl of mac and cheese. The restaurant offers ample parking, both above ground and in the underground garage.

The ambiance was very chill and relaxing. The place has good vibes and energy, although it can get a bit loud. The menu features many great options, and I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. There is an excellent drink selection, and the drinks are generous in size. Our server, Kaiti, was fantastic in helping us with the menu and provided exceptional service. She made sure our drinks were always full and added laughter and humor, making our day memorable.

Great place to go during lunch. Fast and delicious food. The location is really nice and cozy. I loved the burger and the wings were my favorite. I also got an onion soup because it was cold, and I wanted to get something to warm me up. The soup hit the spot. Great service!

We had a wonderful Sunday brunch here! The chicken pot pie was absolutely delicious, and the rotisserie chicken sandwich was definitely the highlight – juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. They also have an impressive selection of desserts, so there’s something for everyone. The restaurant is clean, inviting, and offers plenty of room to relax. Plus, there’s easy parking right behind the building, which makes it convenient. Definitely worth a visit – highly recommended!

I’ve been to Hazelwood many times, and have always forgotten to leave a review. This place is wonderful. The service is excellent, food is great, and drinks are even better. Definitely on the pricier side, but that’s to be expected as it’s more of a “nicer” restaurant. The only downside is the place tends to get quite noisy, but obviously that is just due to how busy they are! Which is great!

This location is very welcoming but the parking is horrible so allow extra time to find a place to park. Dawn was our server and she was competent. The Mediterranean Angel Hair with Shrimp was very tasty. Pizza was okay, French Dip and Salmon BLT were both very good.
