Delicious food! I don’t think my husband and I have had anything that we didn’t like. My only critique is that the service and overall wait times are pretty bad. I don’t know if they’re just understaffed, or what, but that loses a star for me. I saw recently that Dani started working there so hopefully the service improves. Otherwise, the atmosphere and everything else is great; the history in that building is really cool too. Prices are reasonable in my opinion. Either way, we will definitely be dining here regularly.

We used the banquet room for a dinner last Saturday and it was perfect! The food and drinks were all delicious! They did a personalized spooky menu and it was so fun! The mummy jalapeño poppers were my favorite! They were so cute and yummy. The staff were very attentive and kind and did a really great job! Special shout out to the short ribs, they were amazing. Thank you guys for a wonderful dinner!

Wonderful place for dinner and cocktails. I ordered the steak bites and they were delicious. Even better than when I make them at home. Entrees come with two sides and I got green beans and broccolini – great choices. Portions are huge – I took home enough for another full meal. Large selection of cocktails and very reasonable prices. Elegant dining room and cozy bar area. I’ll be back.

Our server, Waylon, was very professional and attentive. Other employees were very friendly and let us “tour” the restaurant’s separate rooms to enjoy the history and uniqueness of this building.

We were a very large group for a conference. Paid quite a bit for this dinner and speaker and only had one poor waitress. Food took hour to an hour and a half to get. Fish and chips and hamburgers. Room was too small for the group. Management came around but was not helpful. Did not even help the poor waitress. Drinks were ordered tea water sodas.
By a waitress that started out helping us, but then she just disappeared, and we didn’t get our drinks until we were able to get noticed by the poor waitress that waited on us. 70ish people. It is a three story building. We were put on the top floor. There was a private member’s only room. Cigar smoke, smell was very strong coming from there. Restrooms were very clean. Stairs were very narrow and quite steep. If I had just been a regular customer downstairs, I probably would have gotten a lot better service. I don’t blame the poor waitress. I blame the management for not planning ahead and making sure that there was help
and space. This was a very expensive dinner and the choice were great. And it took so long for them to get us our food. But like I said, it was on the third floor.

Haywood House is a home style Texan bar & grill with fantastic food, and friendly faces. The decor brings you right back to a simpler time without all the distractions of modern conveniences, but with an absolutely calming atmosphere. Overall, this was a fantastic spot for our 4th of July evening in Jefferson.
I had the Big Daddy Bourbon BBQ Bacon Burger, and it was perfect. I honestly couldn’t have made it better myself, it was sweet, but not too sweet. I was full by the time that burger was gone. The fries were lightly Cajun seasoned, and were way better than Five Guys or In-n-Out. My entire party said their food was very good.
Just after we arrived live music began, and it complimented the place quite nicely. It was at just the perfect volume. Not too loud, and not too soft. The tables, chairs and dressings were very tastefully arranged. I knew we were in for a treat when I looked at the menu. They have many options from steaks, burgers & hot dogs, to seafood, soups, salads, and more.
Overall, I’m convinced that if you come here and have a bad time, it probably won’t be the restaurant’s fault. Happy 249th America! Happy dining at Haywood House!

It was a very large group 60+. We were on 3rd floor. Room not large enough. Not enough staff. 1 poor lady did pretty much everything. Manager came by, thought we would get more staff. NOPE. Drinks and food took for everyone. Arrived at 6pm. Husband did not get his meal until 8pm, a CHEESEBURGER!

My wife and I came here for our 6th year anniversary. This is our 1st time coming here. The food was very good. We enjoyed talking to the owners upstairs in the smoking lounge. Can’t wait to come back.

A wonderfully decorated establishment. The main dining room was small and has great ambiance. The food was all that I was told it would be. When I called for a reservation, I was told that the dining room was quiet and would be the perfect spot for a quiet dinner with my wife to celebrate an anniversary. I was a bit disappointed. There was a band playing that, although not too bad, was very loud for the small area of the dining room. The area was more suitable for an acoustic set or more quiet sound. The staff was efficient and did well serving our meal. However, the employees, for the most part, gave the vibe of a haute cuisine restaurant, rather than the homey vibe the decor seemed to give off. Although efficient, the impression I got from the employees (for the most part) was not one of welcome or glad to have you here. I will probably go back, but not for a quiet meal, I will go back knowing what to expect next time.

Yall seriously cant say enought about this place! We ate here hy accident the first time and fell in love! The people are great the food is beyond amazing. Everything is made fresh and from scratch. I booked the party room for a surprise birthday and we had the best time !!! The service was outstanding. I loved that they asked for a pre order for the kitchen to know what to except for a party of 20+. Definitely the easiest and best experience with any restaurant ive ever had! Highly recommend. Oh and the cigar lounge is very cool and my husband really enjoyed it!
