Hayashi Teppanyaki is a family-owned business servicing the Hill District since 1996, providing authentic and entertaining dining experiences to the local community. Started as a small and humble beginning, unafraid to mingle with his audience and discuss everything from cooking to their lives around the fiery hotplates, Ronnie has brought Hayashi Teppanyaki into Castle Hill and making what it is today. With a preference for fresh and bold flavours, every single dish on the menu is carefully prepared to dazzle the five senses. Hayashi Teppanyaki has transformed every perfect plate of food filled with passion and a desire to be the very best to all in the area.
Slick, contemporary Japanese destination preparing teppanyaki and tempura dishes, plus banquets.

We got everything done and dusted by 6, got the kids ready to bed by 7 and had a rare night to ourselves!
Apparently they also do lunch sessions now so we will definitely be back for that!!!
Food, yes was very yummy, great job by the chefs.
But seems very over priced. For 2 people we got 2 mini spring rolls and 2 tiny sushi rolls for the Entree.
Main was chicken breast fillets, 4 prawns, a handfull of calamari and 1 small steak and 2 small bowls of fried rice. For 110 i feel it was very little, they say you pay for the dhow to but that only lasted about 5 minutes.
Cocktails were the average price, 20$ however it was only a 2/3 full glass.
The place it self is small and squishy, but in todays housing amd business market it’s luxury i guess.
First time at tepanyaki and I’m very unsatisfied amd dissapointed unfortunately.
Groups could have been allocated more effectively as 3 of us had to sit with a large group of 10 + where the other cooking table was occupied by only 2 people and was empty. Our experience could have been better if 3 + 2 sit together and large group separately.
It is pricey though.
Kids laughed and had fun with the food activities from the Chef, and all us adults had a blast with it too.
Plenty of food which also tasted delicious. Followed up with Fried Ice-cream which was great.
Highly recommended.
There’s plenty of parking underneath, which made things easy. The space inside is a little tight, and while they managed to fit another smaller group of five around the grill, it did mean a few of our guests only caught the chef’s performance from behind. Totally understandable given the U-shape seating layout, but it did take away from the full teppanyaki experience for a few of us just a little. Something to consider if you’re planning a bigger group.
Still, overall it was a fantastic night, great food, attentive service, and plenty of laughs. Thanks for a great night.
The food was some of the best I’ve ever had.
Our server today was absolutely HILARIOUS .
It was my friends birthday and I think it will be some of our best memories .
Thank you for the enjoyable, everything to be honest.
5 stars for sure, ps. I am a very picky person and it means alot for 5 stars right now!!!
All ages were there.
