Had a really good experience here. Autumn our bartender took good care of us. Probably the best pizza in town couldn’t recommend more. Really good place to eat. I’m really disappointed with my recent takeout order from Hawthorne Pizza. I ordered chicken wings and garlic knots, and when I got home, both items were in bad shape. The wings were extremely dried out and tough, with oil pooling at the bottom and no real seasoning. The garlic knots were especially disappointing: dry, bland, and not a trace of garlic in sight.
I called the store to address the issue and was told refunds could only be handled through DoorDash. However, when I tried resolving it online, I was redirected back to the restaurant. When I explained this, there was no apology, no offer to remake the food, and no alternative solution provided.
Mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and customer service was frustrating. Based on this experience, I don’t feel confident ordering from here again.

We ended up here by chance, being we’re from out of town and had no idea what to eat. I’m SO glad we did! The food and service were absolutely immaculate. They actually only had one server on staff and multiple parties to attend to, but even the manager and host stepped in to make sure we were taken care of while the server was helping other tables. We ordered the garlic knots, chili cheese fries, chicken parmesan, and philly cheesesteak, and everything was PERFECT. I’ve never eaten such delicious chicken parm in my life. The garlic knots are soft and buttery and literally the size of my fist. Seriously, this was the best outcome for our dinner plans and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Charlotte!!

Had a great lunch today of nothing but appetizers. We got the meatballs, calamari, mussels and mozzarella sticks. All were cooked perfectly and arrived at the table hot and at the same time. Our server was quite pleasant and helpful, and was very patient while we took our time with the menu. The manager Tim was engaging and was walking the restaurant talking with all tables. Place was clean and music was at a perfect level.

Pizza was decent, wings tasted like they were tossed in chemicals, got someone sick as well. Food was cold when we received it for pickup, the mozzarella sticks were a cheap store bought brand. I do not recommend eating here.

My daughter and i were in the mood for pizza and ordered for pick up here. I ordered personal pizzas for both of us but it was not a regular pizza. It looked like a cake with toppings and sauce and unfortunately one of them was burnt. Needless to say i paid $47 and didn’t eat so a bit disappointed. Im sure their pizza is probably good unfortunately we didn’t get to try it. Will probably just stick to our go to place.

Service was ok. Lots of people working, but had to ask for the bill(not a lot of checking back). Not the best pizza, but good. Two drinks and an 18 inch pizza and tip…$43. Kind of pricey for us.
