Let me start by saying that I’m not British but this place has an authentic British feel, and the food is fantastic. We have been here many times for Dinner and Sunday brunch (and English Premier League games!) and you can’t go wrong with any if their dishes. I’ll recommend the Scottish Eggs or Fish Bites as appetizers. They also have one of the best Chicken Masala (my favorite) and the cod in their Fish and Chips is always fresh and very tasty. For Breakfast I’ve tried the Full Monty and the British Bake and they are authentic for sure. Great selection of Gins with a variety of unique Tonics. Also, this is the only close place I can find an Old Speckled Hen ale, creamy and refreshing, one of my favorites too. Check it out and you won’t be disappointed. Cheers!

Was looking for fish and chips and found this place listed in yelp. This place has the look and feel of a British pub. The menu has British pub fare. I tried the fish and chips and the Jamaican jerk wings. the wings were notable. Hot and spicy. Best Caribbean wings I ever had. The fish and chips were delicious as well. Service was great. Folks were friendly and helpful. I will have to come back and try other items when I have more time

Overall a really great experience and exactly what we were hoping for in choosing this pub on a Saturday night. We got fish and chips, cottage pie, wings, and some drinks. Overall the food was good. The fish and chips were exceptional. The fish was nice and flaky and the fries were steak fries that were well-cooked. The cottage pie was tasty though it could have used a bit more salt. The mashed potatoes on top were excellent though and we really liked the mushy peas that we got as a side. The wings were mediocre. They were a bit dry and could have used a bit more sauce.

Nice pub with English beers. Happy hour at 2; get a dollar off draughts. Decent sticky toffee, too. You can skip the rest of this-it’s a tirade lol: Town of Vienna imposes a separate meal tax on diners—that’s just pathetic (so do other places like Falls Church. Crystal City) Just the principle of it is very annoying.

Glad they are now open for lunch. Went a couple of times last week and learned that, at a British Pub, you have to order your lunch at the bar talking to the bartender (pro-tip). Had the cottage pie and then steak and stout pie which was delicious. This is a “must visit” if you are looking for an original spot in Vienna with friends for food or drinks.

Hawk & Griffin is fantastic from the food to the staff and atmosphere. We went on a Saturday evening and there was live music which added to the experience. Our server was fantastic and recommended a stellar dessert (the Cambridge Cream). The food is amazing we had the scotch egg, Welsh rarebit, fish and chips, and the chicken masala. All the dishes we had were wonderful and full of flavor. Definitely a great place for dinner or to grab some drinks and listen to the live music.
