We had lunch here for the 1st time. Three people got the brisket sandwich and one for the Cuban. The food was delicious. The fries we just like the ones my dad homemade as a kid! Definitely try this place!

Excellent food. My family and I visited here on recommendation from a coworker of my dad’s who loves good BBQ and knows some great places. This place did not disappoint! My ribs were excellent, and my parents’ food was excellent as well. I especially liked the sweet potato fries, as they are sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon instead of salt. We will be coming back and I highly recommend this place!

My friend and I were on vacation for a few days and decided to eat lunch here. I ordered the brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was the best tasting brisket sandwich I have ever had! Nothing anywhere else compares to it. I only want to vacation here again so that I can have lunch or dinner and order this sandwich again. It’s a must try!!! It was very reasonably priced too!

My husband and I had a TERRIBLE experience here. We were greeted by a waitress who seemed annoyed we were there. Were immediately asked “What do you want to drink” in a rude tone. 5 minutes later, the waitress returned asking what we wanted. She did not allow us to order our dinner and appetizers separately so, it all came at once. She never checked on us while we ate. We had to call her over to get a refill on drinks.

The only thing worth one star was that it was 1/2 price Senior night, and the service was good. The outside of the restaurant is pretty. Inside basic booths and tables. Hush puppies were over fried and dripping with grease. Fried catfish was not greasy but the fish was mushy. See the plate of fat LEFTOVER from 4 slices of brisket. The worst I have ever had! Tasted boiled. Cole slaw, baked beans, potato salad and collard greens came from a can.

This place is off my list. It has gone from bad to worse. I don’t know what happened. This used to be the best place up there. I would recommend to everybody. I feel bad for the people working there. The smoked turkey was good. Brisket was terrible. 🙁

Thought I would be smart and pick up tomorrows (7/29/23) dinner. I ask for a family pack with a quart of stew. I received a small sauce cup of stew, when opening the container of slaw the next day it was light brown, the buns (see pic for date)were out of date and had mold on them. Was not asked what kind of BBQ sauce but was given an almost quart size of what tasted like ketchup with A1 mixed in it. Needless to say I threw a way $60. Please don’t get to go orders there.

the food was FANTASTIC! We all had different dishes. the jumbo fried shrimp were huge. the fried catfish was delicious and fell apart eating it…SUPER YUMMY! The boys loved their sandwiches…no one had leftovers.

We hadn’t been here for over 6 months as our last visit had horrible service & our food was cold. This visit was not much better. We ordered our appetizer & drinks. We waited 15 minutes & we got hush puppies. We asked him where the stew was, as this was an appetizer & did not want it served with the food! He said something we couldn’t make out. We finally made the decision to leave when it was brought out, so we stayed. 5! 5 minutes later we got our food! We won’t be back! My ribs were lukewarm but very good & the stew was very good…. just refuse to pay that kind of money with that kind of service!
