I saw Platapus Pete and his little stab Kai Lyn jump off his pan head, and duck into the Hawaiian Grill BBQ joint, and right then and there…I just knew it had to be great! I mean, who doesn’t just love Hawaiian BBQ…boy I sure do! So I made a promise to go there the next time I had time…and today’s the day. I snagged some short ribs and a whole slug of brisket for take home, and let me tell you something…everything was Amazing bordering on Spectacular!
5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆

Excellent food and service! I highly recommend the SPAM musubi! We also had wings, a chicken sandwich, and a side order of short ribs. Everything was prepared perfectly and served hot and fresh! We will definition be back to try other dishes.

I got the 3 meat combo today it was better than Ohana. The chicken was great, the short ribs where really good and the beef was a little fatty for me and the sauce on it was a little odd to me. But the chicken was a total recommend, I would get that again for sure. They even give you a green salad that was a nice addition, some green vegetables to go with everything was great.

They have beyond tenders that you can add any sauce to. I got the peking sauce which has great flavor. The lady who took our order was very friendly and patient with our party of 5 while placing our order.

So looking forward to some Hawaiian food. When I got there the sign stated Hawaiian Grill & BBQ. Instead it what Firw wings. I tripled checked the menu. Even gave time for the menu to cycle. Still no Hawaiian menu. I recommend that Fire chicken remove the sign and delete Hawaiian Grill & BBq from Google maps.

By far, this is the best casual dining restaurant in town. There is a wide variety of menu options, and every single thing that I have tried so far is absolutely delicious! The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is always spotless. The manager and owner are both open to new ideas and feedback, and their goal is for constant improvement. I highly recommend this establishment for a date, group, or family dining experience. The spicy beef is not on the menu, but it is a MUST TRY along with the garlic noodle and spam masubi. If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars, I would!

Came here, and the initial walk-in is awkward, not knowing if you are in the right spot. Menu is the basics. Prices were a little high. The service and setting were barley there, basically fast food like. Then, unfortunately, all my food was off. I ordered bbq chicken and spareribs plate. The mac was warm, my chicken was burnt dry, my spare ribs were somehow pink in the center, and I could barely chew thru the. That being said, the flavors did taste tho as tho if it were made properly, they would have tasted fine… so I may try 1 more time if I’m in the mood.

Picked up dinner recently there and was impressed with the service given by Travis, the GM. He is affable, engaging, and clearly focused on making sure the business succeeds as he touts the $4 drafts. The dish I ordered was not meant to be spicy but apparently some cross-contamination happened because the food was just a touch heated. Not a problem for me, just unexpected. Also they were a bit shy on the amount of rice they were providing. Considering this is Hawaiian BBQ, rice is a big thing and typically served generously. A bit of a missed step there. Although I did not dine in, each time I’ve been there I have found the tables to be too sticky for my taste and the chairs are not super comfortable while waiting for my food. However even given that, I will return, especially if they bring Golden State Cider – Farms to Cider to the draft selection. Mahalo!

On the plus side, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had the chicken katsu and I specifically asked how thick/thin the chicken was served. They said in the thicker side holding their fingers an inch+ apart. Sounds good, but when it arrived, it was thin, over cooked, and tasted lile processed chicken. It was not panko style (my mistake for not reading the menu closer and I should have looked at the posted food pictures). The rice was not “sticky” and the Mac salad had way too much dressing. I got my food to go, otherwise i would have spoken to them in person.
