I’m not really sure about the other reviews but I come in here very frequently during the school year and I’ve brought many of my friends here. The owners are a very sweet couple who are very friendly to me which is why it was so shocking for me to see poor reviews. Maybe they had an off day, they have been nothing but nice to me and my friends. It’s one of the more affordable options on campus, which I greatly appreciate as a student. They have gluten free options and a variety of sizes. All of my friends have loved their food, specifically their shredded chicken. I always get their chicken or pork with the gluten free sauce and it is everything i need. My friends even get the gluten free because it’s surprisingly better (literally never happens). This place really is an awesome little spot and the owners are very kind.

Absolutely disgusting service. As a 3rd party delivery person, the old lady who’s also the owner insists you purchase to use the restroom. When picking up in lieu of the customer wouldn’t that be considered the purchase?? There’s never a proper warm greeting. Just the old lady being blah, rude, & nasty. I called to ask who the owner/manager was & if they cared about the horrible ratings from customers, when she proceeded to lay the phone down for at least 10 minutes, to never return. This location only gets the business it does due to its location, which it’s not deserving of. The food looks inedible & the service is trash as well. This place needs to go. Restaurants need to understand 3rd party delivery persons are potential customers. They fumble this ball So regularly. Management & owners really need to wake up. You’re not just selling a product but a service as well.

FIX YOUR ATTITUDE! Both the man and woman owners have a very nasty disposition when it comes to service and people. Why be in the service industry if you’re not going to serve people well? These owners do not deserve to be on a college campus serving the rising minds of the future. This restaurant is #1 on the list of Rude Restaurants. Hawaiian Express should revoke their franchise licensing. If this location is a reflection of the values of the Hawaiian Express Franchise, I will avoid the Hawaiian Express Franchise like the plague. The whole experience is trashy! The food is trashy. The people are trashy! The service is trashy. Throw the whole restaurant in the trash.

Ordered the almost $20 “LARGE” Kaluha pork with 2 large sides of Mac salad and rice. I got about a pound of rice, a less than standard amount of pork ( very small amount for a “large”), and medium-small scoop of Mac salad. Little cup of sauce. Everything tastes great but I feel ripped off. I could’ve gotten a regular sized $10 meal at a different Hawaiian place and gotten more food. Wish I could rate higher :/ I will not be coming back

Dude. I do food delivery and there was a lady in here who was working who was crazy mean for no reason to me. She screamed at me to hold the bag differently when I just told her thank you. I don’t want to ruin the customer’s food, so I appreciate the tip, but I also don’t like being shouted at when I’m just trying to earn extra cash to pay my rent. I can’t comment on the food, but if the workers here treat people like that (being a delivery person doesn’t mean I’m not also a potential customer) then I’m not recommending this place to anyone.. yikes.

Loco moco had a thick black hair in it. The older lady that’s always there was okay (never pleasant, just monotone) but then I brought this to her attention and she has been rude to me ever since. Can’t say I’ll go back anymore. The same day that happened, the Mac salad had a weird taste to it, which I didn’t mention. The pork had little flavor. Maybe an off day for them but the way that older lady handled the situation wasn’t kind in any way. Good thing is there’s a bunch of good Hawaiian places I know of and can resort to. Only came here because it was close to me but never because it was the best. Now I’ll go out of my way to go better places, though further away.

I ordered a poke bowl based on the picture online, but was severely disappointed. The picture showed avacado, cabbage, pineapple. My bowl only came with a rice, mac salad, salmon and seaweed. This is false advertising. I ended up spending 15 bucks on this and honestly the food I did get was not good. The Mac salad was inedible to me. I love Hawaiian food, so mac salad is important. Anyway, I just wouldn’t go again.

I was picking up a delivery order as a dasher and needed to use the restroom and when I asked I was told that I needed to buy something. I thought by helping this business deliver food to a customer that was 20 minutes away was good enough… way to treat someone that is helping your business…
