Food came out quickly after ordering. Naan (cheese and spinach especially) tasted good, but was thin compared to other Indian restaurants. All the curries came out with some onion/veggie decor on top which I didn’t really like. Portions for the curries were kind of small but the rice portion was plentiful – thankfully the waitress informed us that one serving was fit for two people.
Plus, the staff came up to us and asked how everything was – always appreciate it when people ask for feedback on their food/service.
And oh, it was so good we came back with some friends and they enjoyed their meals as well . Nice location in Broadbeach too – do check Haveli out!
The cutlets are tender and I enjoyed the flavour of the curry which is medium spiciness. Rice has quite a large portion size for its price and suitable for 2 people.
Shirley Temple ($9.95):
Mocktail made of orange juice, lemon soft drink, and grenadine syrup. Simply put, it has a tangy, astringent, and tarted flavour.
Mango Kulfi ($8.9);
Unfortunately, the pistachio kulfi wasn’t available at the time but still delicious that I can feel the thicker texture of Kulfi than normal ice cream.
Overall, lower prices than most of other Indian restaurants, gracious staff, authentic foods, 9 out of 10!
Subtle and aromatic flavors.
Naan breads were crispy outside and soft inside.
Overall great food.
Also, I couldn’t believe how lovely the girls were looking after me. I will definitely be coming here again and if I need to order takeaway, I will be doing that for sure. Five stars all round.
The only thing I would say it would be nice if they could dim the lights and put a little, (even if it’s fake? ) candle on the tables or something like that, I think this would really elevate this place and allow the atmosphere to match the food. That would be so much better, and more comfortable for the diner (it was a little too bright) and, would cost them nothing.
Thank you to the chefs and the staff for looking after me. You were wonderful and I cannot recommend this lovely Indian place in Broadbeach enough. I’ll be back.
