I got the fries (Papitas Fritas). And they were outstanding too, with a nice crunchy outside.
The service is great and friendly. Havana Cuisine is still my favorite place for Cuban food.
Separate visit:
I always get the Cuban (or Tampa Cuban) when I come here, but we were feeling a little guilty about not trying the other foods. This time, we decided to split a Cuban, but also split the “Signature Shreddable Feast: Cuban Food Lover’s Plate”. It was a lot of food (we ended up taking some home). The Food Lover’s Plate consists of Ropa Vieja, Mojo Pork, Arroz con Pollo, Black Beans, Plantains. Every bit of it was delicious! The Mojo pork was pork and onions, the Ropa Vieja was shredded beef in tomato-based sauce with onions, bell peppers, garlic and a blend of spices, and the Arroz con Pollo was yellow rice, chicken, and a creamy sauce. I think the Ropa Vieja was my favorite because of the spices, but I enjoyed all of it (twice!).
For desert, we got the Guava and Cream Cheese Pastries. There were two of them. The pastry was ridiculously flakey, and the Guava and cream cheese filling was sweet and tart, and just the right amount. You should definitely try these too.
I tried the Tampa Cuban with Yellow rice the sauce is the boss!
My husband tried the Ropa Vieja the roast beef was so juicy and tender
We also tried the Tropical Mango Wings Definitely worth the price and the Caramel Flan!!! Omg I love Authentic Cuban cuisine now!
NOTE: they are also one of my fave vendors during the 100 Best Taste of STL because they bring an entire delicious meal!!
Havana’s Cuisine feels like a slice of Cuba dropped right into St. Louis. From the moment you walk in, the music, the décor, and the warmth of the staff set the stage for something special.
The food speaks for itself. The lechón asado is melt-in-your-mouth tender, paired with rice and beans that taste like they came straight from a Cuban kitchen. The fried yuca with mojo is crisp, citrusy, and addictive, while the tostones are light, crunchy, and perfect for dipping. Every bite is bold, comforting, and completely authentic.
Generous portions and fair prices make the experience even better—you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.
Havana’s Cuisine isn’t just a meal, it’s an escape. Authentic food, inviting atmosphere, and attentive service earn it a well-deserved ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
If Cuban flavors are calling, this spot belongs at the top of your St. Louis dining list.
