Nice to sit between the beach and the pools d get a drink while the kids swim. Super over priced but you’re paying for the view and location. Burgers are big and fries come out hot but other than that nothing super special about their service or food and drink offering.

This bar is located right on the beach inside the Hilton Hawaiian Village – a perfect spot to relax with a great view of the ocean. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
The cocktails are strong – they don’t hold back on the alcohol! If you prefer something lighter, you can always ask for less. For a hotel bar, the prices are actually quite reasonable, especially considering the location and the view.
Overall, a great place to unwind and enjoy a drink by the beach. Highly recommended!

Decent pool bar, but not especially impressive or interesting. Beers could have been colder for sure. Service was helpful, but I wish we could have brought our drinks to the beach.

During my most recent stay at Hilton Hawaiian Village, I stopped by Hau Tree Bar to buy a drink and grab some lunch. I initially wanted to sit at the bar just to relax, get a nice view of the beach and unwind after a parasailing excursion. The bar was crowded, and I didn’t see any waitresses seating customers in the dining area, so I went to the take-out line. After ordering my drink, I noticed the food was taking a while, so I went to sit at an empty table in the dining area until my food was ready. A rude, very crass and unprofessional waitress told me to get up, as the dining area was for customers who were being seated. I had spent nearly $40 with a food and drink purchase, so I wasn’t sitting there just to sit there. I was a paying customer. The woman could have been way more hospitable, a lot more gracious, and could’ve used that opportunity to tell me (respectfully) how to go about getting seated in the dining area the proper way. My experience at Hau Tree left a bad impression on me, and I would NOT go back, nor recommend anyone else traveling there to eat/buy food from there.

Although I was staying the same hotel and although I’d bought my ice cream from the same hotel they didn’t let me be sited in the bar because I had my ice cream in my hand and that was “against the policy” . I was going to order food at the bar as well but they just didn’t let us in. I found that stupid. Otherwise the bar gives a beautiful view to the ocean

I left this bar without ordering anything because of how rude and aggressive a staff member was toward me.
I was seated at a table that was mostly empty and had a sandwich with only two bites left that I bought at the Hilton hotel. A staff member approached me, pointed to a sign about outside food even though I bought the sandwhich in the same property, and spoke to me in a very aggressive and confrontational tone. I explained that I intended to order food and drinks there. To be respectful, I stood up and finished the last two bites of my sandwich away from the table before sitting back down.
When I sat again, she returned and asked what I wanted to order. I told her I would decide once my boyfriend returned from the bathroom. She then told me that if I didn’t order within five minutes, I would have to leave, despite many empty tables around us.
The policy itself wasn’t the issue. It was the extremely unwelcoming and rude manner in which I was spoken to. Because of this, we chose to leave without ordering anything. We had no interest in spending money or tipping someone who treated us this way.
This interaction completely ruined what should have been a relaxed experience.

Bar drinks poolside or beach side are good but expect resort prices. The food is atrocious!!!!!! Just ate a teriyaki sandwich… Boiled chicken breast. Anyone ever seen that? Worst chicken I’ve ever eaten, super dry. I had to rip off a few pieces to make sure it was actually chicken. Hilton Hawaiian village you have been so amazing for decades and have made memories my whole life…. But time to get a new head chef and a new groundskeeper.. you have fallen down.

Great service each time we ate lunch. Great selection at the bar. Food comes out fast and is feet away from the beach and pool. We enjoyed each meal here. Cold draft beer!

Wow! Amazing service and delicious food and drinks. Poolside drinks are the best but even more so with a geilled cheese or chicken tenders and fries with a side of ranch. Order them next time and you wont be disappointed. Meyer is a great hostess and waitress, thank you for your service and quick food delivery. 10 out of 10. We will be back. Aloha.

Hua Tree is not a cheap lunch (especially with adult bev’s) but it is good! We found all of it delicious, the service quick & friendly, and the sunny beach view unbeatable, all enjoyed in the shade. Tables do fill up, so get there early if you want your pick of tables.
