If you love bold flavors and perfectly crispy fried chicken, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken is an absolute must-visit! Their hot chicken is on a whole different level—juicy on the inside, beautifully crunchy on the outside, and packed with that signature spice.

The spice hits just right: intense, flavorful, and addictive without overpowering the taste of the chicken itself. Every bite feels like the perfect balance of heat and flavor. The sides are just as amazing—comfort food done right—and the service is always friendly and quick despite the crowds.

Not to forget their signature Nashville comeback sauce

Hattie B’s delivers exactly what you expect from a legendary hot chicken spot: great food, great vibes. Highly recommended!

Visiting from Atlanta, I finally tried Hattie B’s Hot Chicken and it truly lived up to the hype. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and full of flavor, not just heat for the sake of being spicy. You can actually taste the seasoning, which makes all the difference.

The spice levels are serious but done right. Whether you stick to mild or go all in, the balance is there. The sides deserve praise too. They are classic comfort food and pair perfectly with the chicken.

The atmosphere was chill, the staff kept things moving, and the experience felt worth the wait. This is the kind of place you think about the next day. If you love bold flavor and real Southern hot chicken, Hattie B’s is a must…

The fried chicken is great.I think this is best spicy fried chicken in my life. So scrumptious!! Hot it means real hot ️.Next time we will try spiciest . The long line was out of restaurant. And I waited long time for food.May be they missed our order. One staff see we waiting too long he come and ask for what we ordered then comeback with food 10 minutes later. So we arrived and got food 50 mins later. Luckily I’m not hungry. And we missed 1 waffle that we can’t remember. I do recommend coming when you’re not hungry.

It was our first time here, as we met up with friends for fun trip to Nashville.
The staff was very nice and gave us insight on the different items on the menu. The staff is friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed the food here. If we’re ever in Nashville again. We will definitely stop for some more of this chicken. I would recommend trying this place out..

First visit. First of all, medium is too hot for me, I’ll be sliding down to mild next time. The fried chicken was outstanding. The sides were good. The banana pudding is excellent. We sat outside and it had a nice old school vibe. The service was quick and professional. We’ll be back.

This chicken is top notch. The medium spice was the perfect level of spice to enjoy all the flavors. The mac and cheese was a great side and the sweet tea and lemonade completed the meal. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect.

I have been to Hattie B’s… too many times. Like, well past the line of “regular customer.” We’re talking somewhere between 200 and 300 visits. At this point, I’m not eating hot chicken anymore,
I am hot chicken.

They know my name. They know my order. They know my dog. Honestly, if I dropped dead in the dining room, they’d probably know what song to play at my funeral (“Hot Chicken” by the Spice Girls, obviously). At first, I was embarrassed that the staff greeted me like a long lost uncle at Thanksgiving, but then I just leaned into it. Shame can’t survive once you’re wrist
deep in mac & cheese and hot chicken grease.

The other night I went scrolling through my photo album and realized, I basically have a multi year documentary of Hattie B’s. Family vacations? A few pics. College graduation? Two blurry ones. But Hattie B’s chicken? Hundreds. My iCloud is basically a shrine.

There’s a corner of my stomach with a permanent lease owned exclusively by Hattie B’s. They don’t just have the deed, they’ve built a condo, installed a Chick-fil-A just to bully it, and started charging me HOA fees in chicken tenders.

If you don’t see me for a while, check table 6. I’ll be there, reincarnated as a tender.

The chicken is incredible. Seriously Incredible. I got the mild and there was only a tiny hint of spiciness. The chicken was so tender you could cut it with a fork. A plastic fork.

Okay now the not so good…..The Mac n cheese needed salt, and it was marketed as pimento Mac and cheese. But. It was more like “essence of pimento” because why didn’t I see hardly any pimento. There was like 3 tiny pieces? The greens were bitter.
The sweet tea was not “southern” sweet tea. The toilets were not so clean at the base near the floor. They really need someone to go in and deep clean. It does make me wonder how clean the kitchen is if the toilet looks like that. One reason why I hate going into bathrooms of restaurants. What I don’t know is better for me. Ignorance is bliss!

There is a tiny tiny parking lot. Difficult to get in and out of, at least for us, who are not local. We had to wait over 20 minutes to get our food.

$48 for 2 adults, we each got tenders, sides, and drinks

I’ve tried Nashville hot chicken several times. Hubby swore this place is the GOAT. He was not wrong!! The chicken was juicy, we got medium heat and it was perfect. The sides were so good!! Bacon cheddar grits, greens, and pimento Mac n cheese…all five stars!!! Service was efficient and friendly. Tables were cleaned promptly even tho they were crazy busy.

Tried this place out for lunch on a busy Saturday! The wait is long but lots of food for the money. The chicken tenders were okay, not the best tenders I have ever had! We liked the sides more, the fries with beer battered cheese, and the cheesy bacon grits were great! Also liked the variety of drinks too! It’s definitely a must while in Nashville! Fun experience overall!
