April 23, 2024 1:30 p.m. open sign is on. As we are walking up to the door, they turn the sign off and lock the door. Not so much as stick your head out and apologise. As it turned out, it was probably a good thing. Ate at the cafe at the San Juan in. The food was great, and Chilley was an Awesome server. Best service in the past 2 weeks of travelling.

From beginning to end, my visit to the Hat Rock Cafe was great. As soon as I walked through the door, the staff was helpful and kind. The selection was good as well- if you want it there’s a good chance they have it. The dining room and bathroom were in excellent condition, and our meals were absolutely delicious. To anyone contemplating whether or not to come to the Hat Rock Cafe, I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed. And to the Team, thank you so much for making our short visit a good one!

Food was just ok. We came for breakfast so I’m not sure about how good lunch and dinner is. Waitress forgot things now and then. Brought my family wrong drinks, missed the cheese in our omelette we asked for, no hash browns which is supposed to come with it. Also coffee was terrible. Very watery and didn’t taste like much. We have this place a second chance and once again forgot some stuff. Also gave us a pancake we didn’t ask for and gave it to us where we assumed it was free. Charged us $10 for one pancake we didn’t ask for.

Awesome place to stop for a bite to eat! We had the fajitas and also popped in for breakfast…both times very good!!!

Stopped in back around the beginning of July for some food, walked in and the person working looked at me like I was lost and then explained that since they already had one family in front of me (only other people in the place) that it would probably be a long wait and that I should probably head down to the other diner by the river! It’s not too often a place recommends you head down to the competition.

I order the jalapeno popper burger, now talk about a burger having all the cravings in one, the fries were fresh cut and excellent, I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else but here. Don’t forget your tip as well they sure do deserve it
