Harvey’s Wineburger | Phoenix New Times
Most people come to this 16th Street spot for the beloved burgers, which are sizable, cheap ($7.50, with fries), juicy, and, yes, splashed on the flat top …

Stopped here for lunch. It wasn’t busy so I could sit down right away. The service was fast, beer was super cold . I got the garlic patty melt which was awesome. The fries were hot and crispy. Definitely a dive bar. It’s pretty dark inside and 21+ only. Limited parking in the front but there’s more in the back.

Stopped into Harvey’s after a recommendation from a friend probably 3 years ago… Anywho, we got the chicken tenders and two hamburgers. Each dish came with fries and they were the perfect amount of crisp. Besides that the hamburgers were to die for!!! I got the garlic melt and my buddy got some double double massive burger. We both couldn’t stop talking about how good our burgers were! All that plus a fountain drink, the bill came out to $46! That’s great! The atmosphere is great with Christmas lights up through the roof, there is a pool table, and you can control the music through an app called TouchTunes! I will definitely be back!

Food: Had the Islander Burger. First, keep in mind this primarily a bar, maybe even, dare I say, a dive bar. With that said, the hamburger was amazing. Top 10 in the Phoenix area. The prices are better than most and the draft beer was COLD!
Service: Again, this is a bar that serves food, no waitresses Both bartenders tools care of us. When my beer was low, they were they to check if I wanted another. For two bartenders and a fairly crowded bar, they crushed service.
Atmosphere: It’s a bar…
Definitely worth going to.

Just had an epic night at Harvey’s Wine Burger, and wow—this spot nails the casual, flavorful vibe with a side of killer hospitality. Tucked away in Phoenix, it’s got that dimly lit, neon-glow bar feel that’s perfect for unwinding after a long day. The star of the show? That namesake Harvey’s Wine Burger—juicy patty stacked high with melty cheddar, crispy bacon, tangy BBQ sauce drizzle, and those golden onion rings that are basically addictive. Paired it with a frosty brew, and it was pure comfort food heaven. The setup here is spot-on: quick grill action, fresh toppings, and that red-checkered basket presentation just screams “dive into this.”
Shoutout to the team making it all happen—Thomas behind the grill is an absolute rockstar, flipping burgers like a pro and keeping the energy high. And Taylor and April? They’re drink-slinging wizards—crushing cocktails and beers with smiles that make you feel like a regular on night one. Service was fast, friendly, and zero pretension, which is exactly what you want in a neighborhood gem.
If you’re in Phoenix craving elevated bar grub without the fuss, hit up Harvey’s. Can’t wait to go back for round two. Highly recommend!

First off, this a bar. I only mention this because I saw reviews that kids were not allowed or did not like the noise. This place was recommended by my brother who was close it was a bar with great burgers. He was spot on. We visited on New Year’s Day about 3pm and were able to get a table immediately but it was busy and the Rose Bowl was on. We are not football people but if we were this would be a great place to see a game. There were enough TVs that every spot had a good view.
We ordered several drinks that were technically shots but they were so large and tasty we just sipped on them. The prices were insanely cheep ranging from $4-6.50 each.
We ordered the appetizer sampler and a mushroom burger and onion rings to share. The sampler was just your tun of the mill deep fried cheese sticks, poppers and chicken strips the burger was amazing and cooked perfectly to medium rare and the onion rings were the beer battered style. I also go a soda and our total was $53 for 4 drinks, a soda, appetizer, burger and onion rings. We thought that was very reasonable.
This is a must try if you like burgers and drinks.

First time trying a burger cooked in wine and it did not disappoint! Extraordinary flavor between the wine burger, bacon, and blue cheese! Super friendly staff and a neat experience watching it made right in front of you.

Just go. You won’t be disappointed. One of the best burgers I’ve had in phx in awhile especiallyfor the price. Went for the Islander. 1lb patty. Service was great, friendly atmosphere. Bar tenders were great, cook was amazing.

Stopped by Harvey’s Wine Burgers and was really impressed with the food especially the burger, which was one of the best I’ve had in a while. The wait time was a bit long, but our server, Jazz, let us know upfront, which we appreciated. The atmosphere gives a whole in the wall but its better than that, and the crowd made it a fun place to be.
That said, our server’s attitude could’ve been better. The place was full and could have had a moment of being overwhelmed , but it’s important not to let that spill over onto paying customers. Still, the quality of the food makes this spot a must-try. I’ll definitely be back.

Don’t waste your time or money at this bar. We went for the first time after multiple recommendations..we showed up on a Sunday evening at 730pm. The server/bartender assigned to our area was an old blonde with total RBF. We told her it was our first time in and proceeded to order our drinks. She brings our drinks 10 mins later, which one was missing the lime and we placed our food order after she said she would be right back to write it down, which she never did write it down. In the meantime we watched multiple tables get their food, some there before us, and most there after we sat down. We ordered shots which were mixed up so neither of us drank the shot we ordered. Finally at 830pm, an hr after we came in our food was brought out. We asked why it took so long to get our order and we were told they only had one cook and orders are batch cooked…we are talking burgers, that are supposed to be made to order…how does a 10 min burger take an hr to cook? Further more don’t advertise made to order when it clearly isn’t made to order. And tell your patrons that it’s going to take an hr or more to get their food. We felt very unwelcomed from the time we sat down. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

I had been here once 11 years ago. I ordered simply the wine burger with bacon. It was cooked perfectly well done and was crispy. Didn’t need ketchup because your trying to taste the wine. Fries, hot and fressh. About $12 for burger and $4 for beer.
