New Years Eve Dinner A perfectly orchestrated evening…..Beginning with a skillful and dramatic Sabrage! and first pour of the Champagne Toast. Followed by 4 courses each specifically paired with great wines. Not rushed, great crowd fantastically prepared food, a great evening was had.

I really wanted to give a great review, but I can’t. The food was good but the staff wasn’t very friendly. It was the night before Valentine’s Day. I asked a server if she could heat up my soup and she reacted strangely. Our table was right in the line of traffic. No one greeted us or said anything when we left. Yes, they were busy, but a smile and some friendliness goes a long way. Maybe just an off night.

Love this restaurant! Our super-attentive server Katrina kept us happy with every aspect of our meal. We enjoyed the caprece salad(on a tic tac toe “board,” French onion soup, seafood paella, pork Wellington and bread pudding for dessert. Everything was outstanding, including our cocktails. This historic setting is a delight for such contemporary cuisine. We look forward to coming back!!

Harvey’s feels like stepping back in time. Classic black and white movies showing on the wall and big band music playing overhead. We had a nice bottle of Tempranillo to start the evening. Our server was sweet and attentive-Eva-who created a relaxed and lovely atmosphere. The food was so creative and delicious! Buffalo deviled eggs (that come out with smoke trapped over the eggs-so tasty and what a show!), panko crusted goat cheese salad with beets topped with a hazelnut vinaigrette, and everything but the bagel seasoned ahi tuna nicoise salad with a sherry vinaigrette (the tuna was our favorite)! Chef’s kiss! What a hidden gem in our little town! You should check I out!

We had a delightful meal at Harvey’s starting out with perfectly paired wines. We enjoyed the Caprese, the Wild Mushroom & Truffle Enchiladas, French Onion Soup, Scallops, Vegetarian Ravioli, as well as a sumptuous raspberry creme brûlée. All so fresh and good. Service was excellent too!

I’ve been to Harvey’s for both brunch and dinner. Brunch is excellent! We had crab cakes Benedict and brioche French toast with berry compote. I also had a couple of mimosas. The patio is nice and large, shaded and has privacy blinds. At dinner, we had the fish and chips, baked scallops, and heart of palm tacos. The fish and chips were great and served with malt vinegar and tartar sauce; the bakes scallops were so good and tender served on a shell with a butter sauce; the heart of palm tacos were unconventional with fried heart of palm, a chipotle aoli, and fried jalapeños. We met the chef/owner, Michael, and he gave us a little tour of the downstairs. Nice experience.
