The Chicken & Waffles was crispy, juicy, and perfectly balanced between sweet and savory. The Cinnamon Roll Pancake was as indulgent and delicious as it sounds—soft, fluffy, and swirled with cinnamon goodness. El Chepe was a bold, satisfying mix of flavors that packed a punch, while the Power Breakfast was hearty and energizing. The Quesadilla hit the mark too, with gooey cheese and savory fillings that made it anything but ordinary.
While today’s meal was excellent, their brunch buffet really takes things to the next level. The variety, quality, and atmosphere during brunch hours make it a standout experience—especially if you’re looking to enjoy a leisurely weekend meal in the iconic setting of Union Station.
They offer something for everyone, including Brancato’s famous fried chicken, mashed potatoes, ham and prime rib. I chose the mixed salad, roasted veggies, shrimp cocktail and smoked salmon. They, of course had breakfast fare of eggs, bacon & sausage and if you’re feeling it – mimosas. They have a tower of sweets, including mini tarts, muffins, chocolate brownies and apple crisp – to name a few. There is even much more than I’ve listed here and all very tasty!
After enjoying yr meal, check out the local shops, or a movie. There is also a little museum, of sorts, tucked away behind the restaurant where you can learn about the history of the KC railroad biz, the building and later rehab of Union Station and the neat story of the Harvey girls – in the early days of the station’s business.
We’ve visited this place several times over the years and they never disappoint – whether you’re just passing thru KC or live in the area – this is a great place to have a meal.
(1) Flavor of barbacoa bowl was good
(2) Nice view if sitting on the balcony
(3) Not too loud of a dining experience, because of the high ceiling
Cons:
(1) Portion-size-to-price ratio is a bit low, but to be fair you would expect to pay more at this kind of location
(2) Barbacoa bowl was lukewarm at best, even for parts that I’d expect to be hot (like the barbacoa)
(3) Avocado had many brown spots on it
Wont look so flashy next time
We loved it
Had a date during the day and we had a great time!
Had the burger and fries while relaxing like an old school Caddy
Food was awesome.
Nothing dissapointed.
Food at Harvery is pretty alright. Ordered Salmon Benedict and it came in big portion. The Omelette was pretty good as well. Our waitress checked with us to see if we would like to sit upstairs to have a better view. It was a pleasant experience to be able to view the Christmas decorations and the architecture around the building.
