Harvey’s is a great spot for any meal, but if you haven’t tried their brunch, you’re truly missing out—it’s phenomenal. Today, we ordered off the regular menu and still had a fabulous experience. We tried a mix of dishes, including the Chicken & Waffles, Cinnamon Roll Pancake, El Chepe, Power Breakfast, and the Quesadilla. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared.

The Chicken & Waffles was crispy, juicy, and perfectly balanced between sweet and savory. The Cinnamon Roll Pancake was as indulgent and delicious as it sounds—soft, fluffy, and swirled with cinnamon goodness. El Chepe was a bold, satisfying mix of flavors that packed a punch, while the Power Breakfast was hearty and energizing. The Quesadilla hit the mark too, with gooey cheese and savory fillings that made it anything but ordinary.

While today’s meal was excellent, their brunch buffet really takes things to the next level. The variety, quality, and atmosphere during brunch hours make it a standout experience—especially if you’re looking to enjoy a leisurely weekend meal in the iconic setting of Union Station.

Right in the heart of Kansas City’s Union Station, they have a wonderful Brunch spread on Sundays. I realized, after the fact that I didn’t capture images of my meal, except for the sweets.
They offer something for everyone, including Brancato’s famous fried chicken, mashed potatoes, ham and prime rib. I chose the mixed salad, roasted veggies, shrimp cocktail and smoked salmon. They, of course had breakfast fare of eggs, bacon & sausage and if you’re feeling it – mimosas. They have a tower of sweets, including mini tarts, muffins, chocolate brownies and apple crisp – to name a few. There is even much more than I’ve listed here and all very tasty!
After enjoying yr meal, check out the local shops, or a movie. There is also a little museum, of sorts, tucked away behind the restaurant where you can learn about the history of the KC railroad biz, the building and later rehab of Union Station and the neat story of the Harvey girls – in the early days of the station’s business.
We’ve visited this place several times over the years and they never disappoint – whether you’re just passing thru KC or live in the area – this is a great place to have a meal.

Wasn’t expecting to find such a good chicken and waffles in Kansas City of all places. Enjoyed a great Saturday morning brunch at Harvey’s while staying in the Crown Center area. The restaurant is situated in the middle of Union Station, which is such a beautiful building. Enjoy taking in the sites and people watching. Great service too.

Great restaurant with even friendlier staff. My waitress was amazing. I tried the breakfast burrito and it was perfection. Bacon was crispy and cooked perfectly. I also got one pancake on the side because had a slight sweet tooth but it was so big couldn’t even finish half lol, but it was delish all the same.

Since we had just spent a couple of hours at Union Station and had time to stop and eat before our next destination, it just made since to eat here. Our service was abysmal as we flag our waitress over every time we needed something because she NEVER came to check on us. Some of the food- the bruschetta and the honey mustard – were good but the chicken strips were tough, flavorless, and dry.

I had a Christmas dinner here last year. And this year we went for brunch. Excellent service and food. Great vibes for early morning and zen moments. There was a minute trains museum behind the main station.

Pros:
(1) Flavor of barbacoa bowl was good
(2) Nice view if sitting on the balcony
(3) Not too loud of a dining experience, because of the high ceiling

Cons:
(1) Portion-size-to-price ratio is a bit low, but to be fair you would expect to pay more at this kind of location
(2) Barbacoa bowl was lukewarm at best, even for parts that I’d expect to be hot (like the barbacoa)
(3) Avocado had many brown spots on it

Slow service and bad food. Overpriced as expected from Kansas City area. Ordered the grilled chicken club for $17 and it was so gross (also couldn’t even bother giving me two full slices of avocado). Also $5 to add chicken to a salad!

It’s my first dine in experience at Harvey’s although I have been to Union Station many times. You can park at Crown Center and walk over to Union Station if you don’t want to pay for $15 for parking. The open parking and the garage parking at Union Station is flat rate of $15.
Food at Harvery is pretty alright. Ordered Salmon Benedict and it came in big portion. The Omelette was pretty good as well. Our waitress checked with us to see if we would like to sit upstairs to have a better view. It was a pleasant experience to be able to view the Christmas decorations and the architecture around the building.
