Being an avid Bulldog Burger and Harveys fan in Tupelo I really had high hopes for this Harveys in Starkville. Unfortunately 3 stars is the best I can do. The drinks by Jayden, the service from Addison and the guest appearance from Courtney was off the chain and the only reason I’m giving 3 stars. When it comes to the food I can recommend the broccoli bites, Incredible. The steaks had great flavor after we sent them back for being under cooked. The cream of chicken noodle soup was tasteless mush. The food aside the whole experience was worsened by the overwhelming presence of fruit flies buzzing around our food and drinks. We actually would have had dessert if not for the bugs. Addison is an absolute rock star. I actually felt sorry for her by the end of our meal.
Update. I received a call from a manager the sincerely apologized for our experience and promised to address our issues with the back of house staff. Due to this I have given Harveys an extra star. Any restaurant in the world can and will have something go wrong. How they respond definds their survivability.

Harvey’s in Starkville is such a gem! The atmosphere has a nice, modern vibe while still keeping that Mississippi State spirit in a really tasteful way. We stopped in after the football game and were pleasantly surprised that they still had tables open. The staff couldn’t have been nice. Our waitress, Madison, was so sweet and attentive.
The food was delicious, and their wine selection was impressive with so many great options to choose from! Everything was clean, including the bathrooms, which is always a big plus. Overall, Harvey’s nailed it. We loved everything about our visit and will definitely be back!

Very nice restaurant. The dishes were upscale, or what I’d expect from an American restaurant. The waitress, Kaidence, was very pleasant and easy to talk to. Thanks for that. The steak was prepared exactly as I ordered. This restaurant is highly recommended if you’re in the area.

We had Alex as our server tonight. By far the best dining experience I have had in a very long time. She was personable and engaging. She was a natural entertainer. We loved her. Give her a raise! The corn salsa on mashed potatoes was fantastic and the broccoli bites are oh so yummy!

I’ll start off by saying, this is only the third time I’ve eaten from Harvey’s. Haven’t left with a full stomach yet. I ordered a ribeye medium rare. It was cooked to medium-well. It’s literally just a piece of meat with grill marks. Absolutely no flavor at all besides tasting the grill marks. Not even salted or peppered! The Mac & Cheese – maybe it’s just an acquired taste for people who’ve been eating it for years. Me, personally, not a fan at all. The bread, soggy as you can see! Put it in a piece of tinfoil or something. Needless to say, the salad was the highlight of my meal.

The artichoke dip and fried cheese appetizers were good, but my fillet mignon was pretty undercooked. I asked for medium but it had barely been cooked, only seared. It also smelled bad. The Mac and cheese was good, and the house salad was okay. The service was pretty average, not too bad. The ambience was great though and it really set the mood.

Waited half an hour to order the blandest steak I’ve ever had in my life, Texas Roadhouse makes a better tasting steak for half the price and that’s a chain restaurant. Service was very sub par, very little attention paid to our table. This is the third time I’ve given this place a shot and the food hasn’t failed to deviate from its consistent blandness, won’t be coming back.

My husband had a shrimp dish and I did a chicken dish. Both were excellent. Service was top notch and we are very glad we gave it a second chance. Our first experience was truly just an off night for them. Thank you to Harvey’s for making it right – we will be back!!

This restaurant was highly recommended by friends and was all that they said. Great decor, service and food! Didn’t get a picture of the desserts, but we loved both the brown butter cake and the bread pudding!

I ordered a steak, mashed potatoes a side Caesars salad with a butter toffee caramel cake with vanilla ice cream. Amazing! The steak melted in my mouth with flavor. Didn’t need steak sauce at all.
