Staff called me ahead of the reservation to make sure they had details about my gluten allergy, which was much appreciated. And our server, Betsy, took great care of us that night.
My husband is not vegan and he was totally satisfied with the meal and didn’t leave hungry as he thought he might ; )
As I don’t eat refined sugar, the dessert was overly sweet to me. Could have relied more on the natural sweetness of the apples.
But I really enjoyed my experience overall and will be back again for sure. Thanks!
The wine pairing was great, and the non alcoholic drink pairing was really thoughtful and interesting, I highly recommend trying it out.
The servers were warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. Every course was paired with either a wine or an elixir, and my wife and I chose the elixirs-absolutely the right call. Each drink complemented its dish beautifully and offered a refreshing reset between courses. The pacing of the entire meal was excellent; I never felt rushed, and each course arrived only after I’d comfortably finished the previous one.
The five-course meal was some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had. The hickory-smoked potato chowder was so mouthwateringly good it nearly brought me to tears. I haven’t had a chowder since going vegan years ago and had almost forgotten how much I loved it. I’m so grateful a vegan version this good exists.
The roasted beets with wasabi crème were another standout. I love wasabi and the pairing was spot-on. The mushroom-cashew-cheese-filled crêpe was a showstopper as well. Even though 1 was nearing my limit, I swear I could have eaten another and accepted the consequences.
Dessert was a masterful Red Velvet Chocolate Lava Cake, and thev even adjusted the recipe for my wife, who is gluten-free. I tried a bite of hers, and I think it was slightly better than mine–just a bit moister. But I loved mine all the same, and my wife was over the moon with hers.
I can’t wait to go back. I’ll be finding any excuse to celebrate and splurge on this spectacular dining experience again.
I had been wanting to dine at Harvest Beat for a while, and I’m so happy that I finally got the chance—the food is thoughtful, flavorful, and filling, the atmosphere is cozy, and service was great!
When you walk in the door, you’re greeted with the option to start off the evening with wine or an elixir (non-alcoholic beverage). Each course comes with a pairing, which adds another level of excitement to the menu. My boyfriend and I opted for one wine pairing and one elixir pairing, so that we could share and try both, which I recommend if you do partake in adult beverage consumption. I know mocktails may not seem the most appealing, but these drinks were refreshing, well-balanced, and paired exceptionally well with each course… dare I say I enjoyed them a little more than the wine!
We chose to sit at the “bar” area, overlooking the kitchen, which I also highly recommend. Watching the chefs plate each course was a lot of fun!
The food itself was seasonal, interesting, full of flavor, and yes, the portions overall were quite generous… I normally am able to finish my meals when out, but had to have some assistance with the main course and dessert.
Although all of the food was good, the smoky potato chowder served alongside a unique roasted beet poke salad was by far my favorite. That chowder has to be one of the best soups I’ve ever had! My boyfriend isn’t the biggest fan of beets but devoured his and asked for some of mine.
The playlist was both calming and uplifting, the lighting was just right, and each course came out with impeccable timing—we didn’t feel rushed, yet we weren’t waiting too long between each course. The menu changes regularly, so I’m definitely looking forward to enjoying another wonderful dining experience and having the opportunity to try more creative plant-based dishes, hopefully in the near future.
Food: Menu is seasonal and farm to table. The main dish and dessert were the best things all night. These were paired with non-alcoholic elixirs for me and a wine pairing for my husband.
Service: Attentive and timely.
Atmosphere: I appreciate the time that the chef took time to explain the local producers and purveyors and how they were used in their food.
