This particular Hartz didn’t even deserve the one star I gave. I stood there for 10 minutes before they even said a word to me. On top of that we paid for a buffet and they had nerve enough to be rashining the chicken. I asked for more chicken to be put out and another employee asked me if I paid for a buffet. Never again will I patronize this establishment. They deserve all thumbs down.

Prices astronomically high, yet portions are microscopic. You share your eating space with hundreds of flies, upon entrance and with one quick glance you can tell cleanliness is not at all a priority to this staff. Every single table was infested with wasted food debris from previous customers, but plenty staff sitting around doing absolutely nothing. Save your time, money, and most importantly your health before ever coming to Hartz.

The owner needs to repair the place mold on blower in ladies room. No AC in the front by the cash register. Fix your place or sell it. The people that worked there were great food was delicious. Friday cat fish was off the chain. I feel for the workers.

Horrible. This place is very dirty…the ceiling had a leaking roof and mold growing on the ceiling where the water was dripping from (so you know it’s been leaking for a while). The food was very nasty…macaroni was bland and dry…mash potatoes and gravy was just soup…the chicken tasted like it had been sitting out, all day. I’m not knocking Hartz, bc I love their food, but I would never go back to this location.

Went in to get some fresh hot fried chicken (8 pc meal) to go. The chicken was taken off the buffet and boxed up. I had a not so fantastic feeling about that due to I have no idea (although I did) how long that bird had been sitting on that pile heated by a lamp. The mashed potatoes came off the buffet as well and the gravy was added to the mashed potatoes instead of a separate container (not enough gravy) – So I will never return to Wallisville at 610 location and will go to my KFC! I drove from Wallisville and Beltway 8 cause my Hart’s closes at 6 on Saturday ( why so early?) This stand closes at 7pm – guess that’s how you get rid of cold yard bird!

Located in a sketchy area but the restaurant part of the Paradise Truck Stop is ok. I just happened to be there at lunch one day and the Health Dept was there doing a surprise inspection. They passed with excellent grades. The buffet is always hot and kept stocked.

I visited shortly after the storm hit Houston. They had no A/C but still made the best with what they had. Food was as good as it gets for a truck stop buffet. They was super busy.
