Quality food at an excellent price. We’ve been in the restaurant business for over 35 years and have been here in Independence since 1997. At Harry’s Steak House, our steaks are cut from the the finest USDA Choice beef available in the country and are specially aged which tenderizes the meat. All steaks are cut and trimmed on site by our in house butcher. Your steak is then marinated and cooked to your specification on a char grill that generates temperatures that exceed 1000 degrees F to sear in the natural juices and flavors! We do not recommend steaks that are cooked beyond medium well as that causes the meat to become more dry and less tender. Here, we value you as our guest, our friend! WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!
We went to Harry’s steakhouse tonight for my brother in laws birthday. We knew it might take a bit longer because we had a larger party with 14 adults and 5 kids. However, the place was pretty dead for nearly the first hour we were there. Despite that, we waited over 2 hours for our meals to come out. once it did, the food was pretty uneditable! my wife received, for the third time, lemon on top of her food after telling them 3 times she couldn’t have lemons and already having to take a drink back that came out with lemon on it. Several people ordered burgers and their meat and bun were served crispy burnt, a number of the people who ordered steaks were dry and hard to cut, the baked potatoes were so hard that could barely cut into them, and my brother in laws coconut shrimp was dark brown and dry. it looked like it had been fried in oil that was either burnt or hadn’t been changed in days. We had 2 younger kids and both of them were literally served their box mac and cheese last after waiting all that time for good and others to be served.
we asked to speak to the manager and he came over and we told him the issue and he then went and got the owner. The owner walked up to my brother in law with an instant attitude, leaned into his face proceeded to argue with him about the inedible food. He was so close to my brother in laws face that he spit in his face when he was arguing with him. My sister asked the owner several times to please get out of his face and walk away but the owner proceeded to argue with her husband ab bout how he was wrong about about his food. My brother in law got up to walk away and the owner kicked him out of the restaurant and called the police. We were standing outside and like 5-6 police pulled into the parking lot. Half of them talked to us and the other half talked to the owner. One of the officers came outside and said we needed to pay our bill and then we could go. We couldn’t believe it! The owner had some nerve expecting us to pay for food after arguing with us, making us wait hours for our dinner and then serving food that was not even edible and was still sitting on the table. We told the officers to look at the table. Once they saw all the food was still sitting on the table, they told us we were free to go. But then another officer came out and told us that we had to pay for our sodas and drinks that we had while we sat there for 2 hours waiting for our food. UNBELIEVEABLE! I have never been to a restaurant that treated its customers so rude, threatened them and called the police so they could get paid for their piss poor attempt at food. if there was a negative or zero star option. that would be our rating. highly reccomend you avoid this place

I was genuinely impressed with the meal and the service. I ordered the prime rib special along with a crisp salad and rich, creamy au gratin potatoes. Everything was fantastic from start to finish!

I will say that Harry’s was average to me. I was never overly impressed by their steaks UNTIL last night. I ordered the bone in delmonico. It was slightly over cooked but it was so good. I think it was 22oz & I ate the whole steak! The horseradish they served with it was perfect. Not too over powering. Their salad w italian is always delicious. Their burger looks huge. Service was prompt. Also love that kids eat free on Monday.

The food was delicious and portions are a really good size. The atmosphere is that of a classic steakhouse with dim lighting and a comfortable feel. Just like the golden era of restaurants. The aervice was amazing! Definitely check it out if you’re in the Cleveland area.

What an amazing place! A great dinner with great conversation and laughs. People couldn’t stop walking past our table and admiring the size of our meat.
Absolutely delicious and much more affordable than other steak places. This restaurant doesn’t advertise and has survived over 50 years by word of mouth. If you haven’t been here before, you owe it to yourself to check it out!

My first time eating here was very disappointing and uneventful. I was recommended Harry’s Steakhouse by multiple people whom stood by this restaurant and said it was a great place to eat and have a delicious meal, to my surprise it was not lived to its expectations. The waitress was very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable about the menu which I appreciated for my first visit. I ordered the popular strip steak cooked medium with side of vegetables and mashed potatoes. The mixed vegetables were delicious and seasoned perfectly, the potatoes were very soft, creamy, and the gravy was tasty, unfortunately my steak was the worst part of this meal. The steak was cooked well done when I ordered for it to be cooked medium, so i informed my waitress that I wanted it cooked medium and she took it back. After I received my second steak I was surprised and disappointed to find it cooked on the more rare side. Needless to say, but I expected a steakhouse to know how to properly prepare and cook a steak.

Overall a decent experience, will go again. Our server Alex was very attentive. The filet was tender and cooked perfectly, but lacked flavor/seasoning. The sauteed mushroom/onions also had no seasoning/butter. Ribs were delicious! The appetizer sampler was huge, a good deal. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was delicious but over priced ($16-6 small mushrooms). The cinnamon butter with the rolls is better than Texas Roadhouse. My brothers porterhouse was very thin & overcooked but they replaced it with a much better one cooked perfect.

Went for my husband’s birthday. I ordered a medium well steak and got a pretty rare one. I couldn’t eat it. This is the second time being there that my steak was not made correctly. I personally will not return again. The service was ok. Waitress barely came to the table.

Overall this place looks fun but the food was ok. My steak bites and veggies were hard to cut through and my mother in law’s and husband’s potatoes were cold. I’m glad they were able to serve them warm potatoes but it turns another table before ordered before us and still didn’t get their food yet. I know the manager talked to that family and apologized so it felt like it was a long night for the staff and everyone here as well. I did like the ambiance in there and our new waitress did her best but I was hoping for the price we paid it would’ve been better.

Friendly staff, best bang for your buck, seriously have been going here for 20 years never a bad meal. The sweet potatoes are enormous and very tasty with their cinnamon butter. I get the bone in Delmonico special, cooked Pittsburgh style. It was perfectly cooked and the flavor was fantastic!
