Came here for breakfast for the first time. The outside looks so nostalgic and charming, the inside is bright and clean with lots of MLB Yankee pride! I ordered an egg sunny side up, corned beef hash, with rye toast and they put some potatoes with it too. The potatoes were nice and crisp, the sausage patty was delicious too. The prices were great. I brought cash; it’s cash only. The place is small but lovely and there is a restroom for customers. The staff are warm and friendly, the man behind the counter making the food was an absolute sweetheart. Come here, eat their food, help local establishments. Your money means more to them than any large chain restaurant.

The Harris Diner. A place with a wonderful atmosphere. There’s something about a diner where they know your name.
Today, 3/1, I tried egg, cheese, and sausage on a biscuit. Had a wonderful taste. The biscuit was flaky. A definite repeat meal.
The New York Yankees memorabilia is wonderful.
For breakfast today. I had the homemade French toast with homemade sausage and home fries.
The French toast was light and fluffy with a wonderful taste. The homemade sausage was delicious. The home fries were cooked perfectly.
The waitress was friendly and prompt with coffee refills.
I look forward to trying the breakfast there again soon.
If your in Owego NY, give them a try for breakfast.

When a place makes their own sausage patties, they get my attention. You’ve got to appreciate a small business that has even around for years. They also make their own biscuits and sausage gravy, and they are delicious. I like that their home fries are not too crispy brown. My go to is the sausage, egg, and cheese on a biscuit.

The staff were extremely warm and friendly. The food was amazing. We had a wonderful experience. Very refreshing in this fast paced world that spits out miserable people. I can not wait to go back again!

Do you remember when there were little diners where people gathered daily and the grill was right behind the counter and the waitresses were friendly and joked around? The food was straightforward, and coffee just kept showing up? These days are not entirely gone. Harris Diner in Owego is like stepping back into another era. In the best possible way. My cheese omelet had 2 eggs, A large sausage patty, and american cheese. It was simple and yummy. The overall vibe was 5 ☆’s. I left happy that little pieces of diner history are still out there.

Unless you are a long standing customer they don’t care about you. My husband and I walked in a few years ago for breakfast and were ignored. Our food took forever to get bc they kept putting their friends/usual customers that were walking in after us first. Eventually we did get our food but not before several others got theirs first. We had our orders in before they walked in and they still got fully served before us. We do like supporting our local restaurants. But this one has no respect for new people and lost our business for good that day. Much friendlier places to go around owego. I don’t care how long your little hole in the wall has been around. If you can’t serve people like everyone is equal you don’t deserve the business. New customers should never be ignored just bc we aren’t a part of your usual crowd.
