My boyfriend and I were in the area and I told him what the food options were and he decided on Hawaiian! I was excited to stop by here too as they offered saimin and I have always wanted to try out saimin from a good Hawaiian spot as first impressions last forever. We entered and there was one person ordering and another person who was picking up their order. They have quite the extensive menu and it seems like the menu is only the one above the counter. My boyfriend got a regular loco moco while I ordered a BBQ chicken saimin and a side of mac salad. We also asked for water cups which they do provide. We did order for dine in but when our food arrived, it arrived in take out containers which I thought was odd but at least you won’t have to ever ask them for one, I suppose?
I will admit they do offer some pretty big portions for their prices. I think the loco moco container was the biggest take out container that I have ever seen in my entire life. The saimin was also plentiful too, I do wish there was a little more meat as they have a lot of noodles. The broth was also too salty for my taste but I was able to balance it with sips of water, but just a heads up for those trying to watch their sodium intake. The loco moco was pretty good too. The mac salad was decent, I’ve had better though. We definitely want to try out their other dishes and some desserts!
The ambiance for this place is very bare. There wasn’t even music playing and it was just the sound of the kitchen fans and conversations. There isn’t much decorations but at least the wallpaper was inviting and nice. There are a few tables and chairs on each side of the restaurant. The service was also meh, not really friendly but not unfriendly either. It felt more rushed and the lady didn’t ask which side my boyfriend wanted so just heads up to let them know what sides you want when you order a plate. Additionally, they don’t check in on you after they drop the order off and you have to throw away your trash. But besides that, a solid Hawaiian food spot overall.

Had this place a few time and it is great when you seat and eat and even when yku take it home it is still good but better when you eat there, their fries were so crispy and fluffy.

Daniel has some of the best service I have seen in any establishment and he gives me good reason to come back in after every gym session. The food is amazing and always has incredible flavor. If you see Daniel just understand you’re in for treatment you’d usually only see at a 6 star establishment.

This Hawaiian restaurant hit the spot for my craving. The food was made fresh and tasted absolutely delicious. Whether you prefer to dine in or order takeout, they have got you covered. A few tables and chairs are available inside, and parking is conveniently located right in front of the building.
Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I will definitely be back for more. If you’re looking for authentic Hawaiian cuisine that’s fresh and flavorful, this is the place to go!

Service was great, staff was friendly and we received our order quickly but this is not legit Hawaiian food. This is Chinese-fusion Hawaiian food. The mac salad was a huge miss for me. I think they make it in house and it did not taste like authentic Hawaiian Mac salad, it was very acidic and left a bad taste in my mouth.

4 star review is amazing for a “quick service” restaurant. The cooks are fast, and only turn food as fast as they can make it. I am impressed. It’s nothing exciting. Just go old comfort food made fast. I have eaten here many times. The Hawaiian Short Ribs are on point. The portions are big. Most everything is modestly priced.
The full sized entrees are big. The ala carte menu which is your very basic burger, shrimp, cod, salmon ect… and a ton of other items is the real gem. The double cheeseburger I got was less than $8.00!! It was massive and hot! Came with, iceberg, white sweet onions, a thick tomato, pickles and a burger sauce and American cheese. It was simply made but a great classic dbl burger for under $8.00 and worth every penny.
The fish sandwich/burger, same setup minus cheese and burger sauce then add tarter sauce. I was a butterflied piece of white fish, batter-fried when I ordered it!
Everything is fresh and I will keep coming to a hearty, good, cheap lunch here!
*Service is good and fast, the place is in a strip mall in Kent. The decor fits the Kent-Covington area. It’s just basic seats and tables. Give this place a spin. You’ll not be disappointed.

Very uninviting restaurant, very bare minimum with tables, seating and decor. I told them I’ll dine in and my food came in to go boxes, also the prices have gone up. My Mac salad was good, but after a few bites I threw my food away because I could only taste salt and no other flavor.

This is a good business. It is good food with nice portions for a reasonable price. Their fries recently got better and their takeout container went from plastic to paper, which is healthier and more environmentally friendly 🙂

They serve a lot of food but I got the katzu chicken and the chiken was bad quality, all greasy. The rest was well but could not eat , the salad was great but was looking for the chiken katzu and was dissapointed. Y el Loco Moco of my husband was not good no condiments at all.
