This was our first time here. The parking is tight but manageable. The restaurant is very clean. The outdoor dinning was so pleasant. Staff were efficient and very pleasant. Our food came out quickly and was very good. We would definitely come back if in the area.

Friendly staff, fast service, and super cozy inside. I’ve been coming to Harriet’s since I was a kid… and I’m so glad they have been consistent! Quality food, generous portions, and delicious food!

Good food. friendly staff. ate outside dining area. some wasn’t please with the busy noisy traffic all around you and even far off parking because lot was full. that personally didn’t bother me at all. I don’t mind a slight walk or the dinning area being next to a busy road. the food was very good and the staff friendly and the area where you sit is nice Flowers and umbrellas.

Sausages were good. Better than the groceries frozen ones. The home style potatoes were very tender and crunchy. Well made, albeit lacked a little salt. Easy fix. The scrambled eggs were a little overdone for my liking and lacked salt but really nobody makes creamy scrambled eggs unless you go to a Michelin restaurant. It’s just too much work. Overall I had a good time.
Update 02Nov2024: went there yesterday and for the second time the food was very greasy and oily. I’m not sure what is happening, but deffinately the food is not as good as it once was. Maybe they changed chefs and the new person has incorrect cooking practices.

Best home fries and eggs Benedict I have had in the northeast. Amazing value and the service was very nice and attentive. The fruit is fresh and a great selection of berries for the kids. The portions are huge and taste amazing! If I lived around here I would go every week.

Ladies and gents, gather ’round and let me tell you about the unparalleled breakfast brilliance that is Harriet’s Kitchen. Now, I fancy myself somewhat of a breakfast aficionado, and after devouring brunches far and wide, Harriet’s remains unbeaten. Imagine a world where every other breakfast joint becomes a mere hors d’oeuvre to the main course of Harriet’s. Yep, that’s the world I’m living in.
When it comes to my regulars, it’s always a toss-up between the lip-smacking #12, the Croissant Sandwich—a delightful medley of scrambled egg, cheese, and your choice of meaty goodness. Pair that with their home fries, and don’t be shy; ask ’em crispy and deep-fried, just as I do. And if I’m feeling adventurous? The Hash Benedict sweeps me off my feet every time. Picture this: English muffin, corned beef hash, two poached beauties (that’s eggs, my friend), slathered in Hollandaise sauce. And yes, those crispy home fries are non-negotiable!
The Mrs.? She’s all in for the Harriet’s Special – two eggs, toast, and those unforgettable home friends…err, I mean, fries! As for my little one? The Mickey Mouse pancakes sprinkled with powdered sugar are her jam. Cute fact: she nibbles the ears first, every time!
The ambiance? Classic Rhode Island! It’s that cozy corner where everyone knows your name and, heck, probably your order too! The charm isn’t just in the air; it’s in every plate, every smile. Speaking of smiles, a big shoutout to Harriet’s top-tier servers—always on the ball and ever-so-delightful.
You’ll feel the owners’ presence—they’re hands-on, ensuring impeccable service every single time. I’ve been a loyal patron for a whopping 14 years, and I’ve evangelized Harriet’s gospel to many. Honestly? I see a lifetime of breakfasts here, right till my twilight years.
In the race for the best breakfast and brunch in the state, Harriet’s Kitchen isn’t just running; they’re soaring!
P.S. A wee bit of wisdom for newcomers: if it’s packed (and trust me, it often is), brace yourself for a bit of outdoor waiting. No fancy reservation list here—just an old-school, honor-based queue. And communication’s key; it’s a dance of nodding and smiling, figuring out who’s next.
To sum it up? Harriet’s Kitchen isn’t just a breakfast joint—it’s a Rhode Island legend!!!
