I’ve lived in Southern Monmouth and Northern Ocean counties my entire life and have always been within 15 minutes of Harpoon Willy’s, yet somehow last night was my first visit. My fiancé and I went for Valentine’s Day, and it was truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.
We each started with a cup of New England clam chowder, shared a steak dinner cooked to absolute perfection, and finished with a piece of tiramisu. Every part of the meal was outstanding. Our waiter, Trevor, was amazing, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I also want to note that we weren’t drinking that night, so nothing was influencing our experience — it genuinely stood on its own.
It was a bit loud, but it was a Saturday night on Valentine’s Day, which was completely expected. Sitting by the fireplace and looking out at the water made the evening feel even more special.
It was an absolutely perfect night, and I can’t wait to go back, even if it’s just for a bowl of soup. Whether you’re a local or visiting the area, this place is a must. 100% recommend.

Harpoon Willy’s offers good food in a warm, cozy setting. The staff is friendly, and the outdoor seating with water views is nice. Their Whiskey Sour was well-made—fresh, balanced, and not too sweet. I look forward to visiting again.

Awesome Burgers, Bloody Mary’s and Ice Cold Beer!!
Stopped for lunch as they just re-open after a quick sprucing up; looks amazing! Now to the burger. Harpoon Willy’s has always been known for their burgers, but I noticed on the menu yesterday a Wall Burger. This burger is crazy good! The blend of the meat is incredible. I asked the server what it was and he told us that it’s a custom blend they have made for them and it has short rib and brisket in it. Might be the best burger I’ve ever had. So much, that I’m going back today to see if it’s identical as yesterday’s. The soup was New England Clam Chowder and it was really good as well! Love the fresh squeezed orange juice as well! Heading back and I’ll take pictures!

I was there for a friend’sbirthday dinner Saturday evening and the experience was wonderful!! We had our own room which made the experience that much better and intimate. I ordered the salmon with mash potatoes and a side salad. It was cooked perfect and tasted delicious!! The cocktail was also delicious. The waitress and service was great. It was my first time there but I can’t wait to go back!!!

Amazing Burgers and Service! Please try the Wall Burger. The soups are great for a cold winter day as well. Still… the Black Walnut Old Fashioned… might be the best I’ve had and consistent. But we really noticed the professional and accommodating staff; always the best. Can’t wit to come back!

Service was mid. Manager was a bit rude to our group, but the waiter was good. Honestly not great inside for large groups. food was alright wings had a freezer burn taste. The view and classic shore home feel was amazing.

Cole was a great server. Super nice and on top of everything. Food was 10/10 definitely recommend the scallop risotto. Will be coming back and asking for the same server. Amazing date night out.
