I was so pleasantly surprised how great everything was about our experience at the Harp and Crown. We had usually took the long trek into Charlotte to watch any of the premier league soccer games, but found out our usual spot had been closed down. We decided to try out the harping crown and it was a wonderful discovery! Service was friendly and timely, food was amazing, and the atmosphere made it feel so cozy and most like a true pub. We will definitely be coming back to watch all our games in the future!

Great beer selection. Tasty food. Warm atmosphere. This is a great place to chill with friends, enjoy a nice cold beer, and vibe in the moment. They also had a great selection for brunch, including decently priced mimosas! My boyfriend and I were passing through during lunch and decided to try this place. We both agreed that we would go back on our next trip through town.

Came in around noon for Sunday brunch. The place was packed, and they had live music. We didn’t have a reservation, and WERE it would be a 45 minute wait. It was pretty cold and raining outside so we decided to wait by the door. That 45 minute wait magically turned into a 10 minute wait. Once seated it took a while to get our order in but once we had been greeted everything moved rather quickly.

The food itself was very good. My 8 year old practically inhaled his pancakes, my wife really enjoyed the shrimp and grits, and I had a very well made full English (no blood sausage but I have a feeling it wouldn’t sell well in the area).

We look forward to coming back on a nicer Sunday when the patio is open and it isn’t so packed inside. Id suggest making a reservation – if only to avoid the ire of the hostess.

Zac was a great waiter on this dreary afternoon. The tomato bisque was great, the Kentucky mule was tasty, and the toffee sticky pudding was yum! My hubby said the Guinness stew pot pie was flavorful, although the puff pastry could’ve been a little more browned/cooked. Personally I thought the corned beef egg rolls were very greasy though without much flavor. But overall a good visit.

First time there. A good value. Moderately priced. I got the braised beef stew. Delicious with a light puff pastry on top but not enough of it. Another in our party had the burger and thought it was very good. We also got fish and chips (fries). Also good fish but fries were a little limp. Nice atmosphere outside bar and tables. Very good entertainment. We will go back. Wednesday 1/2 prices wine. Nice beer selection.

Went for the first time on Good Friday. Was very please with the staff and interior seating. Took my parents for an amazing fried fish dinner. It was spectacular and will definitely be returning for seconds. Also every plate that went out looked delicious!!!

For brunch, we visited this restaurant. It was very busy to be 10am. I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the all American breakfast and bae ordered chicken pancakes. He enjoyed his food. Mine lacked seasoning, so I had to lather it with salt and pepper. Overall, it was a nice visit.

Often, places like this do not live up to the pub legacy they try to invoke. Harp and Crown is a proud exception to this rule. I won’t say I was transported to England, but I am not sure what a Brit would miss if they were dining here.

Each of our three entrees, the apps and desserts were very good. Couldn’t find one thing to complain about. Fish and chips were particularly outstanding, some of the best fries I’ve had, anywhere. Going back for birthday dinner tomorrow! ( Hope they see this, lol)

We ordered the Chicken Bites as our appetizer and they were delicious. My entree choice this time was the Chicken Creole Pasta, which was very filling after the appetizer. For a pasta dish, I do feel there could have been more food and less bowl. Our server was very friendly and helpful in offering good suggestions on entrees.
A cool night, with the smell of a crisp fire in the fireplace and music playing on the patio, made for a good evening out.
