Had a craving for chicken gizzards so I placed a telephone order at Harold’s in Crestwood.
I should mention that I have been to this same Harold’s location a couple times previously and tried their catfish (fillets) which were very good.
Unfortunately the chicken gizzards were a different story. The gizzards a not cooked whole. They are cot into pieces and then breaded. This may work if you have lighter breading that does not overtake the tiny pieces of gizzard. Additionally the gizzards were extremely overcooked and tasted like burnt cornmeal. I honestly considered that the gizzards I received were previously cooked and not picked up, then cooked again.
The French fry’s were basic fries.
I would return for their catfish, but never again for gizzards.

Cashier don’t pay attention always on the phone and charge me the regular price for a 4 wings which it suppose to be the lunch special price of $6.99 regular price $9.29
Then somebody she knows comes in and order the 4wings and she gave him the special price …. Four wings special from 10:30a til 1:30pm

My friends and I visit this location on 10/25/25. Great service from Jamie if I remember that was the bartender/server name. She was 100% awesome the only bartender there. Everything was going great DJ awesome and all. We had been there for about 1 hour or 2 before the cook walked off the job before fulfilling the entire party food order. Jamie didnt show any sign of stress she kept it together and kept apologizing the other guy(comedian)forgot his name was a big help. The security guard stepped in as well, the all kept my friends and myself informed and called in someone to come finish cooking for us whom never received our order. Our food wasn’t as pleasant as our other friends but they tried their best to keep us satisfied. I just wanna thank Jamie and the rest of the crew for keeping it professional while keeping us all satisfied❤️see you on 11/15 Jamie & Crew

I called in my order and the cashier said 20 mins. When I got there I still had to wait and when I got home there was NO sauce on my chicken when I specifically said “salt, pepper, and mild”. The fries are not good, but the chicken was fresh. They need to do better and READ.

Ordered two orders of there chicken nuggets and fries. However they did not add fries. Also ordered 10 wings and fries. Literally gave me 10 fries. It’s best to go to another Harold’s location.

I have patronized this location for many years and today I will no longer, the quality has gone drastically down. The incompetence of basic chicken knowledge and customer service is laughable. The chicken taste like it was cooked in grease from the B.C. era.
I placed my order over the phone had to repeat my order several times as the young lady fumble not knowing the pieces of chicken from a half a chicken to a quarter white. I gave it 1 star if I could have given negative stars I would have. If you still are willing to brave patronizing this place. Please Check your orders before leaving don’t trust them giving you good customer service.

The customer service is horrible!!!! I placed a order online received text messages that my order was ready. I get there they tell me they don’t see my order. I said ok I need a refund. I showed her proof that I paid and the lady at the front desk didn’t want to give me a refund and not take accountability. Dont come here!! Or come at your own risk. I should’ve know this place is bs bc they didn’t have any customers. Now I have to dispute this with the bank!!!

I’ve been here several times …..each time the food is good and fresh!!
This review is based on my last few experiences…..my second to last experience occurred one Saturday. This particular evening (like most weekends) was busy , after arriving home I noticed that the clerk(or cook ) messed up my order(6wings) (gave me mild instead of HOTTT). I called the store and asked to speak to the manager, she came to the phone and was very pleasant, she apologized several times and told me to come back and mention the conversation so I can get my chicken replaced . I went the next Monday and they replaced it with no issues!
Fast forward to today……….
After a long busy day , my wife picked up some bird(6 wings hot sauce ) …..it was GOOD !!
Definitely a Harold’s !!!
Side note the coleslaw is always fresh and they ask you if you want it before they give it to you (hate it when some other locations put it in with your chicken)

Music was obnoxiously loud upon entry. The cashier could barely hear the customers. My food was not ready, even though it had been ordered 30 minutes prior by telephone. Then when I finally got my food, it was the wrong order. I had taken my food to the car and realized I did not get a receipt. I went back in to ask for my receipt .That’s when I was told I was given the wrong order and was asked to bring the order back. I typically don’t come to this location as it is not in my area. I was picking up this order on behalf of my mom. I will not be coming back to this location.
