I should be better about leaving reviews for good service! I had very simple instructions and y’all this icing and cake tastes just as good as it did when I was a kid! I got a delicious cake for way less than some insane quotes elsewhere. It (the building) looks old fashioned but who cares if it’s good! Great cake and it barely last two days before it was all eaten always friendly staff too. I remember when my brother did a RCA cam corder presentation on how Harlow’s worked when we were kids for his elementary class!

Harlow’s Do-Nut Bakery is a local treasure. The friendly staff are professional and competent. Every delicacy is filled with a baker’s dedication and love. The cakes, especially those baked to order, are works of art. Not only do they taste great, they look absolutely beautiful. I often order cakes for special occasions. They can simply be decorated with, “I love You,” or ‘Thank You,” or “You are special to me,” along with Happy Birthday, etc. But, they are always exactly the way I’ve ordered them. Once, they even designed and baked a single-layer heart-shaped cake for me. I could endlessly describe the do-nuts and wonderful pastries, however, so many other satisfied customers have done that before me. It is the only bakery that satisfies my palate. Harlow’s is highly recommended.

I ordered a cake that was originally round and 2 layers with fondant icing and fondant stars. So to save money I requested a qtr sheet with no fondant and to just draw the stars on the cake. (I was quoted $35 for a qrt sheet) It is a beautiful cake, but $58 for a qtr sheet. NO NOT worth it!! I will NOT be ordering from them again.
And the cake was VERY bland. I am so disappointed.

I ordered a coconut cream cake for my mother’s birthday. I asked if the layers would have coconut cream between them and was told there would be. What a disappointment when I cut the cake. It was some type of icing that had no flavor. Nothing about this cake was an indication of coconut except for the little bit that was on the outside. Definitely not worth 50.00. A store bakery probably would have tasted better and only 17.00. Never again will I order anything from Harlows.
