If there was six stars on the food this place deserves it! Probably the best steak I have ever had at a restaurant and reasonably priced.

We’ve visited this steakhouse many times over the years because it’s close to our camp and has always been considered a local favorite. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was the worst service we’ve ever experienced here.
We arrived at 7:00 p.m. The restaurant closes at 9:00 p.m. At 8:47 p.m., we still had not received our food. By that point, every other table in the dining room had already been served, eaten, and left. We were literally the last table sitting there (photo attached).
Be aware: if the restaurant is busy, expect at least an hour wait just for salads and appetizers — and much longer for entrées. On our visit, even basic items like silverware and dishes weren’t ready, and we had to wait for those as well.
The core problem is staffing. This place needs at least two servers and a bartender to function. Without that, service falls apart. On a quiet night, the food and service can be good, but when the dining room fills up, guests are left waiting and frustrated.
It’s very disappointing to bring out-of-town guests — including two visiting for the first time — and end up with such an embarrassing experience. We hope management takes this seriously and makes changes so future guests don’t feel ignored the way we did.

Wandering Mind
We were driving past this and decided to stop by since the parking lot was full and we were hungry. We were not disappointed. It seems like a place locals frequent, everyone seemed to know each other. We were welcomed in happily. We sat at the bar and watched football with everyone while we ordered food. We had a bacon cheeseburger and NY strip steak. Both were cooked perfectly as ordered and both were delicious. Prices were fair, service was great and friendly. Would go again!

The food here is unbelievable! The wife loves their burgers – she asked about the meat and thy said the beef comes from a farm in Wisconsin and is never frozen.

I had the half order of biscuits and gravy, with scrambled eggs and a side order of hash browns. The food was hot and fresh, generous portions, and tasted great. The service is impeccable, very friendly and I felt taken care of. The restroom was very clean. Definitely recommended if you are hungry.

We had asked our Airbnb host for recommendations and this was 1 of 3…. Boy did we make the wrong choice… we are from WI and love a good supper club… unfortunately, it took forever to get drinks and refills… we had 7 o’clock reservations and weren’t seated till 7:40… after I asked when our table would be ready.. the food was raved about and fell very short… we had to ask for bowls for soup and the salad bar to be filled… my husband had the chicken parm.. it was interesting… I had a New York Strip and it was cooked perfect, but had no flavor!! We couldn’t wait to get our bill and get out of there. We are from out of town and felt like we were treated that way…

Great place the food was amazing fried green beans the trio steak fried mushrooms… the place was great on the eyes I only gave 3 to service our waitress was nice and accommodating but everyone was just wearing whatever t-shirt and shorts they felt like wearing I was kinda expecting a work outfits and our apatizers came with our meal not prior other than that check em out!

What a surprising gem. It is worth the stop. Amazing food, amazing customer service, and beautiful atmosphere! Everything was perfect! The salad was one of the freshest salads I’ve had in a long time. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. And the garlic mashed potatoes and the Apple crisp were wonderful!

Friendly staff, love the cabin atmosphere, and the time from ordering to getting our dinner was crazy fast. I swear it was like 5 minutes for an appetizer, side salad, and steak dinner. But speed didn’t deter quality, everything was delicious and they fixed some of their own mistakes before even serving us, giving us extra food to make up for it. Good attention to detail!
