Let me first state that our waitress was fantastic. We were seated right away and the waitress acknowledged us immediately. She was very friendly and attentive and that’s why she deserved the huge tip I left her. The food was standard. I wouldn’t call it mindblowing. It was solid, but I wasn’t impressed. I wish it was less greasy and then it would have been much better. 6/10 Portions were a bit on the dinky side for the price, I could have went to Dwight’s for a huge portion.

Really had high hopes for this place but was so disappointed with food quality. Medium rare steak was actually burnt. So dried out and if it was seasoned all I could taste was burnt charcoal. I stay potatoes and undercooked broccoli with barely any cheese and not fully melted. The server and hostess were very nice and the sweet tea was very good. Such a cute place wish the food was worth it.

I stopped in around 10:30am on a weekday and was greeted quickly, though the restaurant was mostly empty. I ended up seating myself since the staff didn’t seem eager to get me settled right away. Not a big deal, but worth noting. (I was hungry)
My server was friendly and recommended the pancakes, but I opted for an omelet instead. Unfortunately, the omelet was dry and the ingredients inside seemed cold. I managed to eat about half, but it wasn’t enjoyable. The coffee was standard, nothing special.
One bright spot was chatting with a regular customer who had ties to my hometown — a pleasant connection in an otherwise lackluster experience. Service-wise, I wasn’t told payment was at the register, so I waited at my table for some time before realizing.
Overall, I left unimpressed. Making a good omelet isn’t complicated, and unfortunately mine missed the mark on both taste and texture. Off the beaten path in Charleston, but not a spot I’d hurry back to.

Stood in front waiting for a waitress to seat us, after 15 minutes of not even someone saying that someone would be with us we walked out. There were 3 employees that saw us standing there and never even attempted to help us. I would have love to eaten there as it has been many years and .y girlfriend is not from West Virginia and I wanted her to have good food as last time I was there it’s was very good. Hope service improves!

I got the wilted leaf salad, chopped steak, hash browns, and pecan pie. Everything was very good. Large menu with many different entrees, soups, salads, etc. Breakfast all day. Great friendly service.

Great family restaurant. The food was okay, but the service was amazing.
I always say, “Amazing service can make okay food taste awesome. Bad service can make amazing food taste terrible. ” This place is more than just food. It’s a place to meet friends and family for a warm cooked meal to enjoy the company you’re with.

Large servings, a few unusual options, lots of locals/repeat customers. Pancakes were also tasty and with hot syrup. Our server Crystal was amazing. Made us feel like a guest in her home. Convient location, right at highway exit. We plan to go back when in the area again.

We ordered a fish dinner. My wife’s and I got our dinners my came without the potatoes that I ordered. The fish was VERY burnt. It was a big deal butter for the dinner rolls. This wasn’t the first bad meal that we have gotten. The cook was yelling out, but he didn’t want to be there. And during the cooking. We heard this at our table. I don’t think we will be going back anytime soon

Food was good but needed to be served warm. Server seemed to be overworked or just not having a good day. Cozy relatively quiet for the crowd. BLT and (not) hot turkey to sandwich. Pinto beans just needed a touch more salt.
