My husband and I are frequent customers at the Hardin Valley location. We ordered via Uber Eats on 3/7 around 7:00pm. The roni roll dough was fully raw on the inside and inedible and the cinnamon rolls and dessert knots were so burnt they were also inedible. It’s not often that we have a bad experience ordering from here, but unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened. I wanted to provide feedback in hopes there will be an improvement and more consistency in the quality moving forward.

Ended up getting delivery, which was quick and a little earlier than initially indicated. Both the veggie and Rocky Balboa pizzas were great.
Both had a great crust full of pockets and a nice char to the crust. My wife is a thick crust fan and she really liked the pizzas. The Balboa had really flavorful sausage and the veggie was also very good.
Definitely will be getting more pizzas here again.

I travel around the country and eat pizza all over the place, I am a huge pizza fanatic. This place can go toe-to-toe with the best of them! The pizza was very good, Neapolitan style. It was very unique, I haven’t had pizza quite like it anywhere. Toppings are very high quality, I had pepperoni and chicken.

This is a very good pizza stop. Very freindly and welcoming service. Its a very clean and interesting or exciting boxing theme. Real heavy bags and speed bags on the walls and ceiling. The pizza is baked in a brick oven and is very very delicious and fresh. The dough is perfect. The ceaser salad was top notch with real shaved parmesian cheese. I really like this place and will be back. Its a small 3 location chain in knoxville tn owned by a local family from my understanding. Will b back

We think the pizza is pretty good. The draft beer was gross but I think there was something wrong with the tap.
The service wasn’t great when I told the staff and tried to help. There was a guy manager that knows more than anyone that walks the Earth and a bunch of highschool-aged staff that kept looking over at us while we were eating and made the experience weird. We left quickly and decided there are more comfortable places to dine in. We won’t be back.

Hard Knox Pizza was fantastic! We tried the veggie and pepperoni pizzas, and both were delicious. The food came out blazing fast, and the service was excellent. The crust had the perfect texture, and the flavors were spot on. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back!

First time trying this place, and I’m not disappointed. The atmosphere is welcoming to any age group. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food, which is why you are here or contemplating going, is phenomenal. Best wood fired pizza in Knoxville. It’s rare you eat pizza and don’t feel bloated. There wasn’t a drop of grease on either of my pies. I will def be back to try the different variants! The rocky top is mouthwatering!!

In my quest to find the best pizza in Knoxville, Hard Knox really came in strong today. It was my first time trying it, and it did not disappoint. Neapolitan pizza in a wood fired oven.
All of the ingredients were fresh, the crust had the perfect chew. I will definitely be back.

Update 2/28/2025 – This time we got the Iron Mike and the Bonecrusher. The cheese did not slide off like last time, so that made it much more pleasant to eat. It’s still pretty expensive for a relatively small pizza, but it does taste good. I am upping stars this time around.
The lady at the cash register was nice and our food was brought out quickly. I felt bad that I didn’t see anywhere to put our dishes when we were done but I guess they pick them up for you. (I also asked another patron there and he said he thought they picked them up for you.)
Good but super expensive. We got a large Rocky Balboa and cheesy bread. We thought it would feed our family of four since our girls (6&7) don’t eat very much. However, the large is 12″ and my husband could have eaten the entire thing by himself. I only ended up getting 1 slice of pizza and ate a couple pieces of cheese bread. My girls basically split the cheesy bread and were still hungry. It was over $30 for the 12″ pizza and some cheese bread.
The pizza tasted fine although the cheese literally melted off the pizza onto the plate and you had to pick it up and put it back on every time you tried to pick up a piece of pizza off the tray. Because of the cheese melting off I deducted a star.
Overall I would give this place 3.5 stars since I was still hungry when I left but after putting the cheese back on my one slice it was decent. I would not recommend going often unless wood fired pizza is really your jam or you have a ton of money. It’s just not worth it when my family likes pizza from other places for half the price.
We ended up going to another pizza place to get a cheaper large pizza to fill us up and had some leftovers for dinner another day from there.
