Harbor Lights Harbor Lights is located on scenic Ruston Way, overlooking Commencement Bay in Tacoma. For over 50 years, Harbor Lights has become well known for serving colossal portions of seafood such as the four-pound bucket of steamed clams. Originally opened by a Yugoslavian immigrant named Anton Barcott in 1959, Harbor Lights joined the Anthony’s family of restaurants in 2000.

Happened upon this cool little place and so very glad I did. I ordered the scallops. They were cooked to perfection and were served with a bacon jam and some greens. I ordered a side salad- it was standard- but good. I probably wouldn’t have- had I known there were greens with the scallops. Any way- service was quick and friendly. I moved into the bar to finish my wine – very friendly group! Had a blast and will definitely go back!

I visited this establishment for dinner earlier today. The restaurant boasts a comfortable layout that offers a pleasant view of the water. The menu is impressively extensive, offering a wide array of tempting options. Every dish I encountered sounded fantastic. The seafood, in particular, was notably fresh, and all the dishes ordered were cooked to perfection. While the service was pleasant, it did suffer from a slight slowness. However, despite this minor setback, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It’s worth mentioning that there was an unusual aroma near the entrance and bathroom, hinting at a potential leakage or some other issue. Nevertheless, this did not detract significantly from our overall dining experience.

Okay, to be honest, we were going to go to the RAM restaurant right next door, but the wait time was over two hours. I walked in here, and they got me a seat immediately and with a view, and I was able to have outdoor seating. The waiters were amazing. The food had so much flavor,the drinks were strong and delicious, and the atmosphere was just perfect for a date night. The lighting and the water and watching the sunset you can’t beat that. It is a little pricey but honestly worth it. I recommend this place to all my friends. I plan on coming back to this to perfect little spot.

Chris provided fantastic, impeccable service. The Crab Dip came out first and was to die for. Our main course was the Captains Platter which had huge Prawns, Cod, Salmon, Calamari, fries and Coleslaw. The Clam Nectar chowder blew my mind. It brought peace to my soul. Looking out on the sound as we ate this meal made up for a somewhat tough month and brought joy to our hearts. What a wonderful staff and dining experience. 11/10

My wife and I spent a beautiful Valentine’s Day here and the food did not disappoint. The crab dip was one of the best I’ve ever had! The steak was cooked perfectly, the sides were delicious, and the cherry jar pie was an excellent way to finish. The view of the water is the figurative cherry on top. The restaurant is a tad small and the window seats are highly sought after, but these folks know how to prepare a meal. Can’t recommend enough!

I have to say the food here was so amazing that by the time we left my taste buds were still sings happy songs. My fiance and me had the artichoke and shrimp dip which was the best part out of everything we ate. We also ordered the captains plater, which I have to say was a whole round of wonderful flavors. This place is a must to go to. I will definitely be coming back.

This is such a fun, nostalgic, relaxing place to eat with fabulous service and food. Enjoy view of the Tacoma Waterfront, outdoor dining is also offered. I can’t say enough about one of the Managers, Michelle who put her own personal touch on our night along with our fabulous waiter Andy. This is a must stop for a nice night out. Great local cuisine, my favorite, Silver Salmon with Huckleberry Sauce along with a delicious splash of orange. Yum!!!
