I ordered my first Doughboys pizza on 10/8 and the pizza wasn’t bad. The service was okay upon pickup, too. The next day I planned to eat the last 2 slices of pizza for lunch at work. To my surprise, there was something hard when I was chewing and I pulled a large chunk of plastic out of my mouth. I stopped in to Doughboys that afternoon and spoke to Matt, who stated he was the manager. Matt informed me there was “no way” plastic could have gotten into my pizza because “there is no plastic in the building.” We were separated by a plastic sneeze guard. Matt did not apologize, did not offer my money back for the pizza and appeared agitated during our interaction. I won’t be going back to this pizza place. There are MANY better options in the city. Also, the front window of this business states they are open daily from 11am-8pm but take note they are closed on Mondays.

It doesn’t matter what type that you’re looking for. These guys have it and they’re very good. They’re very respectful. They’re enjoyable to be around. My buddy and I have been talking about trying Dough Boy’s for over a month now after seeing a number of posts on the Madison Foodie site. We weren’t sure what to expect based on some fairly negative reviews but we also saw several positive reviews so decided to give it a try. We went in a bit skeptical with low expectations.
We ordered a thin crust pizza with sausage and mushroom and took some pan style sausage and pepperoni slices to go as well. I’m normally a thin crust pizza fan over pan style. The slices were huge. $7.25 for 2 slices or $4 for one. One slice is probably enough for most people and was in our case. That’s saying a lot 🙂 Lots of toppings and cheese. It was delicious. The thin crust was very good and I thought the price was very reasonable considering prices today. I have to say the pan style was my favorite.
I took the thin crust home and my wife who normally likes pan style absolutely loved the thin crust.
We will definitely be back to carry out again.

This was our first time trying Dough Boys Pizza. We really enjoyed the crust, it was thin and crispy like we like it. However, the pizza was delivered cold so we heated it up for about 15 minutes in the oven. About the best thing I can say is it was okay. It was far from the best pizza I’ve ever had but also far from the worst. Pretty middle of the road. I’m not sure we will try them again.

Dough Boy’s is top notch. We ordered on 1/3/2026 and asked for a 5:00pm delivery. Their delivery was right on time and the 3 pizzas were hot and ready to enjoy! Their tavern style pizza and caramelized pepperoni option was fantastic! 5 stars ⭐️

I ordered a thick crust sausage and pepperoni pizza from Dough Boys last Wednesday evening. The pizza was done and waiting for me when I got there. The guy at the counter was very pleasant, as usual. And, as usual, the pizza was great! They certainly give me my money’s worth when I go there, and this time was no exception. Good job, Dough Boys!!

Hit and miss. Great food, can be some of the best pizza in Madison, but they clearly have issues with reliability and getting orders done on time. I wouldn’t rely on them if you need anything by a certain time, and be ready to call and ask about your order, but the food usually has been worth the trouble

I have tried their pizza three times now and everything had been more than enjoyable. Not only is it delicious but their customer service is far above anywhere else I’ve got in the last several years.
They are very down to earth, generous, and all around great ppl. I pray that God bless their business and grow it even more and that everyone try this place out as it is worth it!

My first time in Madison visiting friends. They suggested we try this place out and I was not disappointed. I would say this is a must pizza place to visit when visiting the area. Food was amazing and I loved the deep dish. All of the food was really tasty and hit the spot. I would not hesitate to go again next time I am in town.
