First time at Harbor House before heading to play at Engeman theatre. Restaurant has a great vibe, felt very comfortable. Wait staff super attentive and helpful with the menu. Enjoyed the baked oysters…fresh and creative. Then shared the special of the day halibut and regular menu item pork chop (the photos show the portions halved in the back) so plentiful of food, all fresh and delicious. Enjoyed the Hugo spritz specialty drink. Will definitely go back and do recommend….suggest making reservations.

My sister and I enjoyed lunch at Harbor House yesterday before going to a show at the Engeman theater. We arrived for our reservation at 12 pm and were sat right away. I ordered the titos mango lemonade, and my sister had a glass of their pino noir. I did not like my cocktail and ended up ordering the same wine as my sister. The waiter knew right away that i didn’t like the cocktail and took it off the bill. I thought that was super nice of them. I ordered it and didn’t like it, not their fault. i expected to pay, and I was pleasantly surprised when the bill came.
Aside from the regular menu, they had a prix fix menu that my sister and I ordered from. It wasn’t mentioned on their website.
I had a broccoli and cheese soup for my starter. It was super cheesy and silky and delicious. I thought it could use a little salt and pepper, but otherwise, it was really good. I had the blackened tuna with vegetable couscous for the main. It was a rather small portion, but it ended up being the perfect amount. The sauce that came with the tuna was so good and was served on the side.
My sister had a couscous salad with beets and dried cranberries with a lemon vinaigrette that she really enjoyed. She even liked the beats, and she hates beats. For her main, she ordered a sausage and broccoli rabe pasta with canelini beans. She didn’t really care for the sausage but couldn’t really put her finger on why. She just ate around it.
We did not partake in the desert because we had a show to catch. I would definitely return. It was a wonderful experience.

All time favorite spot on the North Shore. I can’t go here without getting the tuna appetizer. You get so much fresh tuna mixed in with avocado and wasabi sauce. The sauce is not too overpowering and gives the perfect amount of kick. The staff is incredibly friendly as well and always makes you feel welcomed. If you have the choice try to sit in one of the two seats near the front windows. Get to enjoy seeing the beautiful town while enjoying your meal. Favorite resturant in North Port!

Had our first dinner at Harbor House last night and I promise it won’t be our last! From the host to Robert our server, this restaurant staff knows the importance of great customer service. The food was equally amazing. We had the baked clams, Lobster and clam fettuccine, Sole Francaise and Broiled Salmon. Highly recommend adding this restaurant to your must go list.

This is an intimate spot with great food and service. Our waitress, Carol, took good care of us. We had 6 well-chilled oysters, briny & delicious. My husband enjoyed the grouper and I enjoyed the seared ahi tuna.

Such a wonderful atmosphere, small place with great lighting, right on main street a block or two from the water. Excellent food, I had the Salmon in a sundried tomato sauce with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, this was delectable. The service is kind and warm, very quiet place where you can tell love is the main ingredient, I will definitely be back.

My first time in Northport Village and, wow. I really wanted oysters and good wine. Check and check at Harbor House! The owner was a total doll and sat us outside under the awning even though we didn’t have a reservation. It started pouring rain and we didn’t get wet – it was actually incredibly magical, I’ll never forget it. Our server, Jeff, was awesome and such a good sport coming out in the rain. The food, hospitality, and atmosphere were all beautiful. We will definitely be back!

. my filet mignon was raw and I ordered it medium. I ordered a drink with seltzer and it came back. Watered down with no seltzer. Bread never came to the table. It wasn’t busy and the service was less than mediocre. Don’t bother to order the crème brûlée. It tasted like a pudding mix with barely any burnt sugar on top. My french fries were drenched in the gravy from my steak. It was just an awful experience.
