The area around is sketchy, but hidden within is this gem of a Chinese restaurant that’s perfect for to go as well for a quick lunch. I recently tried Happy Wok on a whim from my usual spots within the local area for lunch and glad I did as it’s become my recurring visit nowadays.
The black pepper steak has always been good and served warm and steaming. Texture is great in my eyes for the beef when paired with the rice though those that prefer less of the gummy sauce feeling like soy sauce may not like it as much. Bell peppers with the onions are a nice combo when cooked properly (and these are as I don’t taste the acidity of either vegetable and get a nice crunch each bite).
Service is akin to a fast food restaurant and not so much dine-in so perfect for anyone on the go like I mentioned. Seating is plenty for a small dining area (especially at the periods I go, it’s usually not busy).
All in all, I recommend checking out Happy Wok if you are within the area!

Sugar overload!! I understand some chinese dishes have sugar but this place uses way too much. Like even the fried rice was sweet. I ordered the orange chicken and paid an almost $3 upcharge for noodles and….they were SPAGHETTI noodles lol.

Food was great loved the atmosphere. Will definitely be going back with my the rest of the family. The cook and the other guy that are there they are great. They came out and check on us while we ate our meal. Nicest and so friendly they care to talk and hear you what you ha e to say. My husband liked talking to them. We will be going back for the wings special on Wednesday.

This feels like it will become a “if you know, you know” kind of spot. Very small, unassuming building but the food is delicious! My wife and I stopped in after visiting a record shop nearby. It feels like a classic “hole in the wall” Chinese spot, and I mean that in a good way.
The server was friendly and food came out quickly. They have daily specials if you are unsure what to order. Both my wife and I got the Sesame Chicken special which happens to be Tuesday’s special. The portion size was good and I was pretty full off that alone.
Highly recommend you check them out if you are in the area. I feel like finding decent Chinese food in the valley is like finding a needle in a haystack. Happy to add this place into our food rotation.

This little Chinese spot is definitely a hole in the wall and a bit off the beaten path, but don’t let the location fool you—the food is absolutely worth walking in for. It’s a simple order-at-the-counter, find-your-own-table kind of place, but it’s clean, comfortable, and the menu has plenty to choose from.
The crab rangoons were honestly some of the best I’ve had: super crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. The kung pao chicken was packed with flavor and had just the right kick. Portions were generous and the prices were more than fair.
What really surprised me was how attentive the staff was. Even though it’s counter service, they still came around to check on us and make sure we were taken care of. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

The server was extremely attentive and friendly. The food was very tasty and cooked well. The only issue is the salt and sugar levels. Very sweet and very salty. I did feel a bit uncomfortable with the amount of unhoused near this restaurant, but the owner made them leave. I wouldn’t go there at and after sun down. Delivery is probably the best choice.

Updated review. Been a few weeks and the quality has not changed. The is my new go to place. I’ve tried a few dishes and they have all been very satisfying. The orange chicken is my favorite though. Chicken is crispy and i always upgrade to fried rice. It is the perfect pairing. I have eaten a ton of Chinese from quite a few places this place here beats them when it comes to that orange chicken. It is truly the best I’ve had yet. Thank you for serving some great food!

Let me tell you, it didnt disappoint one bit. The chicken was crispy and had just the right amount of sauce. Great presentation and the taste matched. Fried rice was on point. This place just opened and so happy it did. Its right around the corner from my dads. Cant wait to try their other dishes. Great place to bring the family plenty of seating. Dont let the area scare you. Its worth the stop. Cant wait to bring the wife and kids. Thank you again for a great experience.
