We’ve ordered from here multiple times now and we always order through the app for take out. After tonight I finally decided to write a review and unfortunately it is not a good one. About 50% of the time we are usually missing sauces we have paid for from our order. Tonight though not only did we not get all the sauces we paid extra for but the chicken literally has no sauce on it at all. Making for some dry chicken and rice. We have never had this happen before. If you order for pick up I recommend you check you got everything. So yes rip open those bags that they have tied shut and check. Unfortunately I did not do this until driving the 20 minutes home. I’ll update my review if they choose to respond.

I have changed my opinion…
I have absolutely loved Happy Teriyaki for years now. I get the same thing every time I order. We eat there at least once a month. HOWEVER.. My favorite item there was the fried rice. But within the last 2-ish months, I think they changed how they prepare the fried rice. Now it tastes different, has a different texture, and has a really bad after taste. This has been true the last 2 times I’ve ordered. I’m not sure what changed, but it went from being my favorite fried rice, to something I don’t want to order anymore. Thats just my personal opinion.

I do Uber eats deliveries in the evening sometimes I arrived this evening to pick up an order for a customer and was told that it would be ready within about 5 minutes after the front double-checked with the cooks. Some other people walked in after I had been waiting approximately 5 minutes and ordered and then more people came in so I waited patiently while she took their orders. But then the people who came in after me and had just ordered got their food while I was still waiting for the delivery order. At this point it’s been over 15 minutes. I asked them about it and the cook was kind of snotty while he was telling me that he was cooking it. I sent the customer a message letting her know that her order wasn’t ready because they were prioritizing people walking in over her order. And then the order still wasn’t ready so I canceled it due to excessive wait time and unable to get decent help from the staff. All together I waited over 20 minutes. And yes I know it was that long because I always set a timer if it’s not ready because your delivery drivers aren’t supposed to wait for food longer than 15 minutes max.
Regarding the owner’s response my name will not show us the delivery driver because after waiting over 20 minutes and the cook being snotty and saying he was just starting to cook the customers food I canceled the order on my list for excessive wait time and unable to get help from the staff. I did message the customer first and let her know the bad service there was the reason for the delay if her delivery. What makes this even worse is that I was given the order while dropping off another one and it took me 13 minutes according to the map in the Uber app to get to the restaurant so add that to the 20 plus minutes I waited before leaving. This was at 5:36 p.m. according to my app showing that when I canceled as the driver and there was only one table of four people in the restaurant when I walked in.
I know you don’t own all the locations. I’ve been several happy teriyaki locations throughout the valley and have always had great service. Which is why I felt the need to leave a review because this was absolutely ridiculous.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door! The dining room was clean, smallish and not crowded with tables. Best test of cleanliness is the restroom and it was well kept I ordered the chicken breast bowl with fried rice instead of steamed, understandable upcharge but I don’t think it was mentioned when I ordered and steamed veggies and a diet coke (either bottled or fountain). The veggies come with the bowl but Jordyn gave me the option to leave them off. She was really friendly Reasonably priced meal. The food took a small amount of time to serve. I didn’t know it is COOKED TO ORDER so it came out hot, fresh and really yummy the chicken was cooked well, good ratio on the well cooked veggies and the rice wasn’t soggy or mushy. There was the perfect amount of sauce allowing me to mix it all up and not be dry and the sauce was tasty.. first time there, but not the last.

I came in this morning and it was very busy, I almost decided to leave but I was impressed by the gal with short hair who was taking orders. She was jumping between taking orders, handling the food coming out, and it looked like she was making drinks as well. I thought it would have taken much longer than it did to get my food, but the cooks and cashiers were very quick and efficient. Please let them know they were doing an awesome job.

This place is cutting corners on thier food. Thier katsu chicken is really rubbery and the chicken is hard to chew. The sweet and sour sauce packets they use to carry they dont carry anymore they use this Heinz sweeT and sour sauce that taste like garbage and they sent me a little cup of sweet and sour sauce that tasted like cough syrup. I wont be eating from here anymore. I use to love this place but the last couple of order tasted awful. Go to another location since i believe these are franchised some one at this location the owner has gotten lazy and cutiing corners. Do better!! Your food espicially your katsu chicken the last couple of time was awful..and hard to chew on some parts of the chicken.

Really close and convenient to my apartment, the employees are always so sweet and welcoming you as you walk in the door. never once had a bad interaction. good selection of employees! smiling faces and are always patient with you. food as always is amazing, don’t overestimate the spicy food (it’s gets me good), the beef teriyaki is my all time fav!
