It’s on the far end— on the corner— not to be confused with the one beside it. Incredibly delicious! The lobster was so tender— it melted in my mouth. The dumplings were the best I’ve had. You know when you can tell that food is made with love and soul? This was that. We felt like royalty and were treated with caring and attentive service. We look forward to visiting again.

My family and I have ordered pickup and dined in at Happy Noodles several times now, and we felt it was finally time to write a review. This family-run restaurant is a true hidden gem that deserves a lot more praise—and more hungry, lucky customers like us!

To start, the food is consistently excellent and wonderfully authentic. While many dishes have a spicy kick, there are also plenty of delicious non-spicy options. You can tell just from looking at the menu, which features classic Sichuan dishes like twice-cooked pork belly, Mapo Tofu, Mom’s pork trotter soup, and Sichuan cured bacon. The chef also makes an effort to introduce traditional dishes rarely seen outside the Sichuan province, such as 鸡豆花 (‘Ji Dou Hua’), a savory, tofu-like dish made from finely minced chicken meat. My personal favorite is the twice-cooked pork belly. It’s so tasty that we can’t help but eat every last piece of the accompanying garlic greens and fermented black beans. Plus, the portion is so generous.

The friendly, home-like service is another reason we keep coming back. They welcome every table with complimentary golden sweet peanuts (蛋酥花生) and Sichuan-style pickles while you wait. One time, when we walked in to place a takeaway order, they even gave us water and appetizers to thank us for our patience. The only small note is that the waitress, a kind lady in her 60s, may not speak perfect English, but her warm smile and genuine hospitality will surely win you over.

With food and service this good, it’s a place we’ll be coming back to again and again. I can’t recommend Happy Noodles enough—it’s 100% a must-try for anyone in the area!

Happy Noodles is authentic Sichuan style food. Everything we ate was very tasty. The owners are very friendly people. My wife (who is Chinese) and I really enjoyed it. The only downside to this place is it is not easily seen from West Valley Highway and Google maps tried to direct us through an alley way to it. To make it easy to find, just turn into the Harbor Freight parking area and the restaurant is behind it.

One of the best Chinese meals I’ve had in the Seattle, authentic, flavorful, and so many options. Every dish we tried was outstanding: the Sweet Glazed Duck had perfectly crispy skin, the Fried Eggplant Stuffed with Meat was juicy and crispy in all the right ways, and the Red Oil Heart & Tongue offered a bold, and savory kick. The Double-Cooked Pork Belly over Rice and the rice noodle both were very delicious.

You can taste the skill and attention in every bite. Totally worth the trip. I’d drive twice as far for food this good. Highly, highly recommend!

Authentic Szechuan food!!!! This place is a hidden gem! The flavors are spot-on, and the portions are huge, which makes it great value for the price. The owner, who is also the cook, really knows how to craft a delicious meal. Every dish I tried was packed with that signature Szechuan spice and flavor. The owner’s mom, super friendly!
Overall, I highly recommend this spot.

It replaced the old noodle house and now features Szechuan cuisine. Everything was super OILY, like soaking in oil. We’ve always enjoyed our Szechuan food but not to this level of oiliness. The spicy beef noodle soup was literally a bowl of spicy oil with a few chunks of fatty beef. Very disappointed. Won’t be coming back.

This new restaurant replaced the old Noodle House since July. The owners/cook are from Sichuan, a region famous for spicy food. The older lady is super nice, and offered free wontons to my toddler who happily accept. Free pickled vegetables 四川泡菜 and peanuts were offered to us while we waited for our hot dishes to arrive. We tried spicy stewed intestine 香辣肥肠,spicy steamed pork 粉蒸肉,Stirfried Lamb 爆炒羊肉 and 肉夹馍. Food was delicious, price is reasonable though the portion is not big for Chinese food standard.

Owner is very cute and kind. Food is freshly prepared instead of premade. Really rare in Seattle nowadays for Chinese cuisine. Highly recommended.
