Delicious food and great service!
I ordered a pizza and a pistachio coffee, and both were absolutely amazing! The pizza was fresh, perfectly baked, and full of flavor. The pistachio coffee was creamy, rich, and delicious — such a nice surprise! The place is cozy, clean, and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. Definitely one of the best spots in the area. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Happy Gourmet 17 is truly a gem that wins you over from the very first visit. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, the service is outstanding, but what really makes this restaurant shine are their pizzas.

The pizzas here are absolutely incredible: large, flavorful, and surprisingly affordable for their size and quality. The crust is light and crispy, striking the perfect balance between thin and firm. The toppings are fresh, generous, and thoughtfully combined, making every bite a real treat.

What stands out the most is the value. For the size and quality of the pizzas, the prices are unbeatable compared to other Italian restaurants. You walk out not only full, but also completely satisfied, knowing you got more than your money’s worth.

Of course, the pasta dishes and other menu items are also excellent, with homemade sauces and beautiful presentations. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

In short, if you’re looking for the best pizza in terms of size, taste, and value, Happy Gourmet 17 is the perfect place to go. A true celebration of Italian flavor, quality, and generosity.

We found this restaurant because my boyfriend was looking for a place that sold good Tiramasu so we decided to give it a try. The tiramasu was amazing, we would definitely get it from there again. We ordered a Honey Pepperoni and mozzarella pizza which was pretty good. The appetizers were good as well; I especially enjoyed the Arancini (I had never had that before). The only thing I didn’t enjoy at all was my entree which was the Meat Spiedini. The chicken had no flavor at all and the veggies didn’t really help, it was not good at all so I believe that’s something they should work on bettering but everything was great and service was amazing.

Happy Gourmet 17 in North Fort Myers is that place. You know, the kind of spot you randomly try and then immediately start planning your next trip around. This hidden gem is tucked inside a strip mall, but don’t let that fool you. This is the closest thing to real Italian food you’ll get without hopping a plane to Italy.

Let’s start with the service. Top tier. Like, gold-medal-worthy. The team is warm, friendly, and ridiculously attentive. I’m talking “remember who wanted ice in their water and who didn’t” kind of attentive. They even remembered one of us liked pistachios on her cheesecake. That kind of detail doesn’t just happen. They care. And you feel it from the moment you walk in.

Now the atmosphere. Not your cheesy, overdone Italian chain vibes. It’s got that cozy, coastal town in Italy feel. Subtle, stylish, and personal. There’s greenery throughout, rustic cutting boards on the walls, and an ambiance that’s just straight-up relaxing. You feel like you’re on vacation without dealing with customs or a jet lag headache.

And the food… oh man, where do I start? I had the pizza bowl, basically gnocchi baked in a pizza crust with tomato sauce and mozzarella, and I swear I almost cried. The dough was light and airy. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked. The sauce was rich, flavorful, and not the watered-down kind you find at most places. Even the fresh arugula with a drizzle of olive oil pulled it all together beautifully.

Also tried the spaghetti carbonara and it was just as amazing. Creamy, balanced, not overly salty, and full of that comforting Italian flavor that makes you want to curl up and never leave.

Now let’s talk dessert. Because yes, it gets even better. One of the owner’s family members is a pastry chef and it shows. I had the pistachio latte and pistachio tiramisu, and I’ll be dreaming about them for a while. The latte had just the right amount of sweetness and crunch. And the tiramisu? Absolutely flawless. Light, layered, and gone way too fast. They’ve got a dessert case that could easily make you skip dinner and just eat sweets. I spotted a Dubai chocolate doughnut and already know I’m coming back for that.

Bottom line … this place needs way more recognition. The vibe, the food, the people, it’s all authentic, thoughtful, and done with heart. Happy Gourmet 17 isn’t just a good Italian restaurant. It’s the Italian restaurant. Save yourself the airfare and just go here instead.

BEWARE OF CREDIT CARD FEE
If you past the fee you will find some really ice Italian eats. Food is overpriced but good. My wife had the Egg Plant Parm and I had the Spaghetti Meatball, that were very good. To finalize a Pistachio Latte is a very sweet closing to the meal that acts as desert. Service is great, the place was empty on Sunday for lunch.

I came here with my friend for breakfast and the avocado toast was the best we’ve had. The owner was super nice and attentive. We can’t wait to come back for lunch to try the pasta menu.

Just a heads up on a cute little restaurant we went to tonight. It’s called The Happy Gourmet and it is right up the road in the shopping center on Hancock Bridge with the Bravo Supermarket & Sweet Pikins Decor Boutique. We were pleasantly surprised with the tastefully decorated interior & comfortable booths. The menu had everything from salads & sandwiches to full entrees, they are also opened for breakfast. We shared a Margarita Pizza & Chicken Skewers served with a salad & French fries. Everything was delicious, seasoned perfectly & served graciously! Finished up with a Pistachio Tiramisu that was sooo yummy.
Love to see this local place become a favorite..so convenient for us here in Moody River.
Check it out on-line.
