I’ve always gotten take out so I didn’t get the to experience dining in but I am very pleased with the food here. Great quality and they can never stuff too much food into the containers (always spilling out the sides lol). I found out recently the owners are my neighbors and they super friendly, very neighborly. Ivy came over was willing to barter delicious food for as many figs she can pick from my fig tree, pretty awesome. I highly recommend, all of their dishes are authentic. Update:2/2026 I’ve had the opportunity to taste more of their dishes like chicken lo mein and their fried chicken. Im never disappointed very delicious

An excellent family restaurant. Pleasant staff. Tasty menu. I have not had a bad experience ever in the many years if patronage. Truly a Happy Family experience. And if you time your visit right you may get a delightful live piano performance.

Our fist and last time here.
Chinken soup is plain and has no flavor, more noodles and soup.
Sezamie chicken is just boil fat covered in flavor, chicken is old and dry.
There is nothing good about this order and I rather move back to China Max Restaurant.

I got general chos with white rice and a cheesesteak egg roll. Worse general Cho’s I’ve ever had cause should be thick it was watery like they poured a half of bottle of hot cause in there. I never experienced general chos that was watery. Definitely don’t recommend.

Why did they change the rice?? Disappointing!! They went up on delivery fee as well!! I live in philly but when I come to jersey I order from you guys. Will be a long time before I do it again!! Will have to find another place!! I’M VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

I ordered a delivery meal. I got 2 egg rolls. They were average. I also ordered Fried dumplings. They were of poor quality , tough and difficult to chew. The sauce was much too sweet. I would not recommend them to anyone 1/2 is very generious .The highlight of my meal was the House Special Fried Rice . The flavor was great the protein and rice were both tender.

Update 2025:
Decided to provide an update and add recent photos of the food we’ve ordered (they’re the lunch portion size).

We still order from here at least 1-2x/month. Our favorite dishes are general tso’s chicken (very crispy).
Beef ho fun or the thai version- pad see yu/see ew.
I also like their house special and seafood soups, though I prefer mines salty so I add chicken bouillon powder.

The portion sizes are huge and generous for the lunch, dinner and regular options.

The average wait time is still ~15 minutes for pick up. Longer if they’re busy or if you placed a big order (30-35 mins).

The best Chinese American food in the area, hands down. Our favorite place on rt. 73 unfortunately closed down last year and no place has been able to replace them, until we ordered from here and only because we noticed that they have beef ho fun and we were in the mood for it but didn’t want to cook it or drive too far to get it.

The last time we ordered from here was 2018 and before then 2-3 times in 2017 before we called it quits (food was just bad and the wait time was 1 hour for pick up).
So glad they changed owners, the food tastes waaay better and the wait time is 15-20 minutes NOT 1 hour. But this is for pick up since we don’t live within the delivery radius.

Have bought take out from here 4-5 times in the past 2-3 months. Never disappointed. What we’ve gotten so far is beef ho fun, lo mein, chow mei fun (all 3 are flavored very well and not overly greasy), pork fried dumplings and pad thai (not bad). Would recommend and continue to order from here.

Ordered food from happy family and they told me an hour wait for delivery, which is fine. Had to call back a few times to get an answer after waiting for an hour and 40 minutes and she told me there was an emergency. When the driver actually got here she told me sorry lots of orders. I gave my client her chicken and I had my dumpling they were freezing cold. So I called back and they wanted me to wait another hour for another order, so after I hear this I tell her forget it. Never ordering from them again.
