We had a great first experience. The quality and quantity of the food was wonderful and fits the pricing. Our server was friendly and prompt. The food was delicious.

A solid 2.5 for the food. Had the shrimp tempura bento and the tonkotsu ramen.
Ramen was definitely not good. It seems that they use regular spaghetti instead of Ramen noodle, egg was way overcooked, and the meat was okay.

The bento box was okay. It tasted decent, though the shrimp tempura was a little dough-y. The tempura veggies were way better. California roll was fine, nothing to write home about.

Service was very nice, every server was welcoming and nice. Food came out fast.

Relatively spendy but huge portions! One bento box can easily feed two! And the sushi rolls are huge! Excellent tasting and so easy to order online and pick up to enjoy at home!

Happy Bento was ok to stop and grab a bite after a long hike at Rainier. It wasn’t anything spectacular but it filled our bellies. Portions are huge!!

Service and atmosphere was fantastic. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. Food came out very quick. We ordered two different bento boxes which were great — extremely generous portions for the price! Miso soup that came with it really hit the spot, and the spicy chicken teriyaki was fun. If I lived nearby this place would be a mainstay for sure.

I ordered a spicy ramen with extra pork and egg, an order of takoyaki and sushi, and a bento box. I didn’t get the extra pork or egg, the ramen wasn’t spicy at all, and the sushi was missing. It happens, it’s life, and I called to let the restaurant know. However, when I came back the next day, they would only give me half off the ramen, and wanted to charge full price for everything else, despite that I was missing 1/3 of what I paid for. The manager was exceptionally rude, and this is sad because the food quality here is really good, but if this is how you treat customers, then my business is better elsewhere.

We have eaten here many times and have been happy with the food and experience, but tonight we were disappointed. We arrived almost exactly an hour before closing and we told to have a seat while they clear a table. After waiting almost 15mins we went up to ask, they asked us who told us to sit and wait. They offered to seat us, take our order but we have to leave at closing.

Tried it out and wish I had not. I ordered one spicy chicken teriyaki and one spicy Mongolian chicken. When I got home while getting forks my wife said What the hell is this! I looked and it was to huge piles of chicken with hardly a trace of sauce. The only way I could tell one was Mongolian was the wilted 3 strands of green onion. There was a little brown water at the bottom of each (Sauce)? I took a bite of one in the puddle hardly any flavor. Was gonna return them but going to south hill at 5pm Friday nope not doing that hell but looking at the receipt they up charged me $3.00 each for nonexistent spicy sauce and paid $50 for 2 inedible meals. Went to the kitchen grabbed the top half of each made chicken salad sandwiches so extra ingredients $60 for 3 sandwiches for dinner. I will never go back.

Having just moved from Japan, I’ve been desperately craving and looking for good Japanese cuisines. I came here after seeing the reviews. While it’s decent for the price I was slightly disappointed. The teriyaki was good, but the sushi was terrible. The tuna was dry, flavorless, had a bad after taste, and gave frozen consistency. It was hard to swallow. The salmon was a bit better, but was extremely fishy (if you’re a sushi person you know what I mean). The menu is large and I’m sure there’s other better options, but for my personal experience it was a 3/5.

I eat here so often it’s ridiculous! Love this place. The fish is always fresh and expertly cut. The staff are amazing and friendly; shout out to Amanda, Ali, and Bella!! The lobby and seating are always clean and comfy. I think I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and none of it is bad. Just can’t rant and rave enough about Happy Bento! *Will add more photos as we eat!
