This is our “go-to” place when it comes to japanese cuisine… our family loves sashimi and my little boy loves their chicken teriyaki… the volcano is really delicious and the servings are just right… the staff are friendly even the cooks who will sometimes come out to ask if the food is okay… erlene and angel usually greets us at the door and asks us where we want to sit… good for family meal..

I’m honestly impressed with Hanzo Restaurant. If you love sushi, this place does not disappoint. The food was fresh, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. Every roll tasted amazing, and you can tell they care about quality and presentation.

But what really makes Hanzo stand out is the service. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in, and they’re always quick to help without being overbearing. That kind of service makes a huge difference.

The vibe is relaxed but still feels classy — perfect for hanging out with friends or just enjoying a good meal. Overall, Hanzo is hands down one of the best spots for sushi in RAK. Definitely coming back.

Overall:
– Great sushi and Japanese fusion dishes
-Friendly, welcoming staff who make you feel valued
– Pleasant atmosphere for casual dining

If you’re actually looking for a restaurant that is fine dining and japanese vibes, this place is for you♥️

I had a wonderful experience at Hanzo Restaurant in Ras Al Khaimah. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. What made the visit even more special was the warm and friendly staff who made us feel very welcome throughout our time there. Their attentiveness and kindness added so much to the dining experience. Thank you, Hanzo, for the great food and excellent service — I will definitely be coming back again!

Hello, this is our second time dining here at Hanzo, and just like before, we had a truly wonderful experience. The food is very flavorful and savory, and I absolutely love the plating — it’s so appealing and appetizing to look at! Our favorite is the Sushi Volcano — perfectly crunchy and oh so yummy!

The staff are very friendly as well. Erlin and Angel were so accommodating and served us with utmost care. I would also like to commend their manager, Ms. Anna. We met her during our first visit, and she was very hands-on, welcoming and accommodating

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It’s a bit dim, but they provide portable lamps that add to the warm ambiance while allowing us to see and enjoy the food comfortably.

We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Hanzo has been a favorite spot for my husband and I for some time. We often frequented this place. However their service has been deteriorating of late. The body language of the staff is very unwelcoming especially the service lady with colored blond hair. The glasses were smelling of eggs and the food got average also. Twice we had to return from that restaurant, because they were in a hurry to close down and go home. Today my husband went ahead to order the food and told the staff that he will bring me. On reaching we found that the food has already been served on the table, they didn’t have the courtsey to wait until the guests arrive. How unprofessional. Their is hardly any customer nowadays, the restaurant if not checked will soon close down because of bad service. The ambience is also very bad with no music playing and the staff being busy giggling away looking at their phones. Sad

I love it at Hanzo. Especially their Katsu Curry is amazing. My husband and I are kind of regular. Waiting to try some more new stuff.

(( DISCLAIMER: These are my own personal opinions of the dishes listed in this review, while it should reflect their quality, it *should not* reflect the quality of the rest of the menu, but it might in similar category/food items. ))

For the lack of better words, I am dreadfully disappointed.

I’ve tried Hanzo several times throughout the years but I’ve got to say their quality has definitely downgraded significantly regarding their food items.

Starters:

-The ‘wagyu’ skewers (55dhs) tasted like regular <10dhs skewers you’d buy at any grill. With that said, I’ve had it before at Hanzo, and it was my favorite dish.

-The shrimp gyoza (58dhs) felt alright but not much in terms of taste, shrimp was cooked properly though, I got a comment that it tasted like a sausage but I did not find it that extreme although it’s definitely lacking in flavor, but was nicely cooked.

Main course:
-Steak ‘sizzling’ (125dhs) was not satisfactory AT ALL, due to the fact it was sliced thinly while the plate it was served on was obviously straight out of the stove meant that it slightly charred the underside and adding to the temperature of the overall steak making it overcooked to a somewhat medium well. It did not wow me in terms of flavor, the vegetables were nice, the biggest complaint I got was that the garlic was not cooked at all, we were eager to smash it but it turned out hard and were underwhelmed by the whole dish altogether. The mashed potatoes were alright, nothing to complain about there. The steak sauce was definitely needed for this dish, and was quite good.

Drinks:

-Lychee Coco (29dhs) was alright but I noticed that it became less viscous than last time which felt off, as a reference, it should have the consistency of Laban.

-Kalamansi Mojito (29dhs) was quite good, tasted like out of season clementines, which is something I’m into.

Overall, I would not recommend these items, I’m sad to say I’ve once enjoyed some of these dishes before thoroughly but to see it go down in quality infuriates me and makes me glad I haven’t ordered anything else (we were planning to get desserts but we were so disappointed with what we got that we did that elsewhere).

Edit: while this review only talks about the food, the staff were quite friendly and attentive, while the place was empty, the service has always been superb, even though our waitress was slightly nervous, we were not affected by it negatively, but reminded us we are all human beings with emotions.
