Chef Dale has over 20 years of a culinary background in Japanese Cuisine and art. Moreover, Chef Jenny has work with Thai food cuisine since she was 9 years old, starting out by cooking on a vendor cart on the street of Thailand. By combining the two cuisines they both had created the beautiful dishes or new modern Thai dishes, but yet, keeping the authenticity of the Thai Flavors.

It’s a little on the pricey side for Thai, but the food was really good. We got the Panang Curry, wish there was a bit more rice, but otherwise it was great dish. Inside seating is tight with low lighting, which gives it a nice cozy vibe, but if the weather’s nice I’d definitely go for outside seating as there it’s more room and you can enjoy the weather. There’s also a 90-minute limit, so you can’t really linger, which is something to keep in mind. I wouldn’t go here with a big group if you want to hang out for a while.
If you’re vegan or vegetarian, they do have tofu and other non-meat options, but the sauces do contain fish sauce, just a heads up. They also ask about allergies before taking your order, which is nice. Service was a solid 10/10, our hostess and servers were friendly and on top of everything. We tried their newest dessert (can’t remember the name), which was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, a solid spot for a nice meal out or a date night.
Here’s what we ordered along with what I thought of it:
Hanuman’s Ceviche: 9/10 very good, just wanted more of it
Thai Sausages: 10/10 very good, plenty to share
Pad See Ew: 10/10 my personal favorite and will be reordering
Drunken Noodle: 8/10 a good contender if you like spicy and a drier noodle
Massaman: 10/10 a great option for steak and curry lovers
Khao Soi: 7/10 this may be an unpopular opinion, I though the flavor was crazy and very good, it was just very very rich, I could only have a few bites of it
Fried Chicken and Sticky Rice: 9/10
Coco Mango cocktail: 10/10 has a great thick consistency, I’m not a huge fan of coconut but this was kind of like a mango colada
Lost in Samui cocktail: 10/10 this drink was delicious, love the pandan and very refreshing
A note on both of the cocktails, the alcohol in them was not very strong at all, so next time I would just order the mocktail for half the price.
I added my group to the waitlist online about 30min prior to us meeting there. After we checked in, it did take about 15-20min to be seated. It is a rather small place.
I also loved the ambiance and the staff here was wonderful. Everyone was helpful and friendly and really made my experience so much better.
Unfortunately, when I came back a few days later, I decided to try the pad thai and I wasn’t nearly as impressed. Pretty bland and did not really have any kind of wow factor or anything that made it memorable at all. Pretty disappointing.
But still. That Khao Soi. And the other diners around me had pad see ew and curries that looked amazing. I will come back to try more of the menu on my next work trip.
This time, i ordered the cerviche, chicken curry with roti, and drunken noodles with chicken. The old fashioned drink was ordered next door given the same ownership.
Food was delicious and the staff was friendly. I will come back to try sushi next door!
Old fashioned drink – $17
3 dishes came out to like $73 + tips.
The setting also isn’t very pleasant — the restaurant is right by a busy road, so it’s noisy and a bit dusty. Overall, it wasn’t the relaxing or flavorful Thai meal I was hoping for.
