Social Profile:

Hansan opened its door more than two decades ago in the area of Panmure. The restaurant proved popular and as word of mouth spread, the local Auckland community embraced us as their ‘regular fix/joint’ for Asian comfort food. Our humble beginning proved to be the backbone that held the business together and shortly we grew into a group of more than 10 restaurants. The same philosophy also opened up doors for ventures into Malaysian and Chinese cuisine. We are thankful to our guests for giving us the thumbs up and the opportunity to be part of the local community. With this, we strive to do what we do best and look forward to seeing you in our restaurants.

My family have been dining here for years. I highly recommend it. The food is always good. I’ve never received a bad dish once. Parking is often available at the restaurant and is one of the reasons we go here – convenience. It’s annoying when you have to constantly think about your car. Here – you don’t have to. We typical order the fried spring roll appetizers – you get 2 spring rolls with lettuce abd sauce, also wonton noodle soup and also fried rice (it’s good for kids pallette). You’ll also never go wrong with any of the vermicelli dishes. If you want something warm and hearty try their curry or brisket in tomato soup dishes. They are very very filling and tastes good (they leave the fat on the brisket). We often have to takeaway leftovers from this restaurant. The only dessert we like though is the banana sago one. It’s sweet and also savoury. It always comes out hot so let it cool down a bit first. And if you want to fill any gaps in your stomach try their drinks. My kids like the milk tea and fruit smoothies. The only thing to be mindful of, is that it all adds up. We often pay up to $200 for a family of 5.

Easily the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. We were completely ignored when we arrived, and the staff instantly gave off bad vibes as if they were looking down on us especially for our first time there. The service was hard as there was a big language barrier so making changes to my order was far more frustrating than the waiting of the order, our order came out wrong and as I told staff this was wrong she gave me the most nasty glance.
Hospitality was non-existent, just attitude and side comments from staff the whole experience. The food was bland and poorly made, which matched the careless service.
Save your money. There are far better Vietnamese restaurants that actually care about their customers

We had dinner there. We were surprised at how big the restaurant is.
The menu was more complete compared to Hansan Newmarket.
The service was quick, and the delivery robot was cute.

We had spring rolls, pork satay vermicelli, and stir fry beef with rice.
It was delicious
We enjoyed our dinner very much.

Really enjoyed our food – delicious! Didnt wait long for food to be served. Good service and clean. Relaxing atmosphere, we sat abit to chat and we weren’t rushed to leave straight after eating. Good value for food.

Good food, lots of protein choices( chicken, pork, beef, seafood, vegetarian) accompanied by carbs(rice, vermicelli) & soup if you want. Not much atmosphere so bring your own. An annoying musical robot that delivers meals and is a novel idea the first time. Reasonably priced.

Good Vietnamese food. Service was ok. But was a bit busy and good took a while to come out. The robot waiter was cool but the music it plays is annoying. I prefer the real person over a robot. We wanted to order desert and we had to approach the reception desk for assistance.

FOOD

We have dined here twice; and although the first visit was amazing, some of the dishes (curry and lemon grass pork cutlets) we ordered the second time around were not as delicious and appeared to be a bit lightly seasoned compared to our first lunch visit.

This was contrary to the spring rolls (A01) and lemon grass chicken with noodle soup (C12), which were both consistently yummy. The former had a slight crunch with an added texture as it is wrapped in lettuce and the latter was refreshingly light.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
Average. Servers were generally friendly. Some aspects of it were self-service

AMBIENCE
Pretty much what you’d expect from an eatery, but is spacious and ambience can be warm as most diners are friends or families.
