Vietnamese subs with freshly baked bread, plus drinks & desserts, served in a small, buzzy locale.

This is the BEST viet sub shop!!! The customer service is top notch, the hospitality and cleanliness is the same. Now, I first accidently stumbled onto this place couple years ago during a day visit from the island and I saw a crowd of people waiting outside. So of course I did the quick “Stop the car!” Move on my cousin. I graciously waited for my turn to place my order. They have an amazing selection and steamed buns. The moment I walked to the car, I took a bite and it felt like my soul was revived, and it is seriously the best viet subs I’ve ever had and I grew up eating a lot of it. My parents friends were 90% vietnamese, we had amazing food!
Now, my other cousins come visit me and it’s a stipulation and a ABSOLUTE they bring subs to me as a entry fee, lol. Jk, not kidding. (Love you Karman!)
The Goods are always secured to travel back to me and I get my fix for a little while until the next trip.
Thank you Banh Mi Saigon! You have a forever loyal customer

I really wanted to support this small business, but the experience was disappointing.
When we went to pay, instead of telling us they don’t accept credit card tap, the guy at the till just tapped the wall with his pencil at a sign that said “Debit and Cash Only.” He clearly spoke English, so it would’ve been simple to just say it out loud. It came off as rude and dismissive.
The iced coffee was also a letdown. It was so frozen that you couldn’t even put a straw in at first, we had to wait for it to melt. There was so much ice that it honestly felt like I paid $5 for two sips of coffee, and it didn’t even taste good.
I try to support small businesses, but basic friendliness and decent quality should be part of the experience.

Just got two subs from this store, we paid together so I ask if we can have a sub bag for the second sub, since we don’t live together store reply we need to pay $0.50. We have two subs we need two sub bag then the store offer me a very used clear grocery bag, OMG… I ended up carrying my sub home with out a sub bag and it extremely dry by the time I got home, not a good experience with services, food average maybe because of the services.

Banh Mi Saigon is a popular spot for a reason. The banh mi sandwiches are flavorful, made with fresh, crispy bread and generous fillings. It’s a great place for a quick, satisfying meal, and the prices are reasonable for the quality.
What really stands out, though, are the desserts. They are surprisingly good — fresh, tasty, and a perfect sweet finish after the savory sandwiches. Many people overlook them, but they’re definitely worth trying.
Service is fast and efficient, and while it’s a no-frills, take-out-only place, the food speaks for itself. Overall, Banh Mi Saigon is a solid choice in Vancouver for both authentic banh mi and delicious desserts, and it’s easy to see why it remains a local favorite.

Banh Mi Saigon in Vancouver is a popular spot for Vietnamese sandwiches, known for their fresh, crispy, and soft bread, generous fillings, and affordable prices. Customers rave about the #1 Special and other filling options, and many consider it the best banh mi in Vancouver.
The bread is consistently praised for its freshness, crispiness on the outside, and soft, chewy interior. It is made in house. Yes that’s right, in house from scratch.
Expect lineups, especially during peak hours, as the shop is popular. It’s important to note that Banh Mi Saigon is a cash-only establishment.
In summary: Banh Mi Saigon is a highly recommended spot for delicious, affordable, and generously filled Vietnamese sandwiches, with a focus on fresh bread and a variety of flavorful options. Believe me, you’re known to be the best when you don’t cut corners. This place mastered their craft.

In search of the best Banh Mi sandwich in the Metro Vancouver area, I had high expectations for Banh Mi Saigon based on previous reviews. I purchased two Banh Mi chicken sandwiches. The crusty bread was acceptable but the filling was very minimal (especially the protein) and the chicken lacked any flavour. Will be trying other vendors of Banh Mi sandwiches in the area.

Lovely neighborhood spot! Price-wise they’re somewhere in the middle for Vancouver banh mi at 7.50 a sandwich, but their banh mi is huge so it feels like a good deal. Their banh mi is solid but I’ll be honest, I mostly like this place for the vibes. The atmosphere is great, service is fast, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Everyone seems to be genuinely in a good mood here! Cash or debit only but that’s pretty standard for small businesses in this area.

bought a lemongrass pork sandwich, the pork had almost no seasoning and flavor. And half way through, the pork is not even cooked.. raw pork contains Taenia solium (pork tapeworm), Trichinella spiralis (trichinosis), and harmful bacteria (like Salmonella, E. coli, Yersinia). This is very dangerous!! Pork is unlike beef, raw pork is not edible!!!!!!!!!

Very long hair inside the sandwhich. It’s stuck inside the meat so it must’ve been there while cooking. Sandwhich was alright
