The food was excellent. The broth was tasty and the ingredients look and tasted fresh. The service was great we got our food quickly even though we came in at the same time as two other groups.

A traditional hot pot that parallels any hot pot in Chinatown in Chicago, Illinois. Fantastic broths, with a wide selection as well. Crisp, fresh vegetables. Variety of noodles. Reasonable selection of sauces. Excellent choice of meats and all of a high quality. Price – exceptional – when compared to the competition in the Portland area. Dr. Bruce

I love PHO’, which was the sign that caught my eye. I never had been to a “hot-pot” PHO’ restaurant before. Only thing I can give as advice if your a new-bee like me is eat slowly and love the flavors and heat! (Remember the emphasis on Heat…eat slowly).

This was my favorite hot pot in Portland! Im visiting from Seattle and really enjoyed the soup bases offered. Me and my boyfriend ordered the buffet and left full and satisfied!! The owner was very charismatic and kind too

Hanoi Hot Pot is probably the most authentic Vietnamese food we’ve found in the West Portland area. They recently added the hot pot to their menu and this appears to be very popular, based on everyone else we saw enjoying it.

We ordered off of the older, non-hot pot menu. Pork Bun (vermicelli noodles, veggies and grilled pork and a yellow curry were our choices. Both had authentic flavor. The yellow curry was nothing like a Thai curry. It had a delicious flavor reminiscent of dishes we sampled in Da Nang. We’ll definitely be back for more, soon!

The sweetest owner with the most incredible food! I love trying new places with my kiddos and often need to keep in mind if it’s a family friendly atmosphere. 10/10

This is a pretty neat concept with a variety of different broths to choose from for the soup base. We had the sweet and sour (Vietnamese style) and medium spicy broth. It’s nice that they have the veggies, cold meats, and warm food at the counter so you can grab them at your leisure. The service was a bit slower than expected, and it took a while to get out our meats that we ordered. Instead of bringing all the meats we ordered, it was brought out individually, and it took about 5-10 minutes for each to come out. While waiting, we mainly grabbed the items from the counter to snack on, which my friend didn’t really want to do because he wanted the protien. I wouldn’t mind trying them again in the future as I am curious about the other flavors of broth.

Very relaxed and friendly place. The service geeks more personal than chain operations, which is probably because it’s a new place.
The meat selections are good. I especially liked the fact your can get your own vegetables because I can get as much of the ones I like and not have the server bring my 3 pieces at a time like at other places.
The self-serve mango lassi is great to clean the palate. It cost a bit more than pretty places but it truly is one price – you get any sauces you want, desserts, shrimp tempura, chicken wings, and other items all included.

Came here on their first day soft opening. It shows a lot of potential and look forward to their official opening.

The quality of their tables and stove tops are top notch. We chose the medium spicy and sweet and sour soup base. The medium spicy soup had a very strong rich flavor. The spiciness was just right. The sweet and sour soup base was good as well.

Meat selection was okay. The pork and beef cuts tasted great. The chicken could be better but then again I don’t usually like chicken in hot pot. Fried rice and wontons stand out.

The staff is friendly but you can tell they are still figuring things out. It was their first day opening after all. I look forward to coming back when their full menu is available. The soup base alone will bring me back. I’ll update my review once their full menu is available

We went at lunch time close to closing, but they allowed us to stay 30 longer. Great options for veggies and meat at the bar. Also, liked the options for making my own sauce for dipping.
Spicy broth is very tasty. We also got the mild, which was good too.
Would go back another time to enjoy.
