I was working on the North side and I heard about Don Carnitas so I decided to try the food.
I did not know this area existed. There are so many food trucks parked outside but everyone has a restaurant style in the building.
Food:
A whole slab of Chicharon with guacamole.

Chips and Salsa
The chicharon was ok. I should have asked the worker to cut it up because it was hard to eat. The tacos was good in flavor. I didn’t like that the onion under my taco was a bit wet which made my tortilla soggy. The chips were good and I enjoyed the green sauce.
I’d return again and try different menu items.

Everything I ordered was pretty good, everything slapped. Portion size is pretty big and shareable. I love the condiments they give you (pickled onions, lime and jalapeños) they’re not stingy on that. Everything was delightful and made with love.
Quesadilla big portion, carne asada meat was juicy and tender
Loaded Fries I love the pickled red onions with the fries, different from other restaurants, which is a great touch to the dish
LB Chicharron was crispy, crunchy, the meat was a little dry, but edible
Burrito everything you can ask for is in the burrito. You got your meat, cheese, beans & rice

My wife and I came here to try the chicharron bowl and the carne asada fries and wow…total game changer. Both dishes were absolutely bomb! And let me just say, they do NOT hold back on the guacamole. None of that tiny scoop nonsense like Chipotle, these guys are generous and we love it! Flavor, portions, and vibes are all on point. A must-try spot, no question about it!

We got curious with the chicharones thats why we went there.it was a 30 minutes drive from our place in decatur..
The bowl with guac is something new for us thats why we ordered it first , the guac is tasty , , however the chicharones lacks flavor…
The 1 pound of chicharones we ordered was not even chopped when given to us.i supposed we need to ask them to chopped it for us (smh) which is unusual since they were big chunks of chicharones that wont even fit in my mouth..
They only have few dining chairs, so ideally you cant enjoy eating there with your family..
The service were slight average, atmosphere below average, food is mid average..
We will give it a try for the next time coz we love chicharones..maybe next time it will have tasted

Got this one in @doncarnitaslv clean shop dine in limited food bar hi chairs and a table of 4 lounge seating bistro style, the service is top tier for me these ladies are so nice, Beatiful, hard working helpful!!! The Dudes too, hard workingiiii the food here is outstanding! I’m just sick that I haven’t been able to get over here until 2 days. I had the $20 carnitas special bean, rice and the Chicharron, beans, rice bowl, EXCELLENT. If you’ve been looking here, it is Side note while grabbing my bags i dropped my walket, a gentleman came up to my truck, says what your name i told him, he gave my wallet, was walking back in to Don Carnitas, i called him back donated to his lunch fund and said ” I APPRECIATE U” he said “ITZ ALL GOOD” and thanX! He found my wallet! Hard working, family Vibe, HONEST CARING individuals are all over this building, Njoy FolkZ #pcvi3wzfood #ipacnvegas

A bit hard to find. Once we found it, the cashier made you feel right at home. She’s super friendly. The food was very good. We got that taco plate and the Chicharron Bowl. While the Chicharron was good and they give you a ton of home made Guacamole, I was super surprised how good the Pastor was. Man o man it’s a must order. The Horchata was really good as well. I must let you know. This place is only take-out. This place isn’t your typical sit down restaurant.

The only downside was there are no tables or enough seats. It’s pretty much an pick up and go orders. From the time of ordering to receiving was about 30 mins .plan ahead and be patient.
