First time trying Hangry Joes. Got the chicken and waffles, 6 breaded wings with mild buffalo sauce and the chicken Mac and cheese. Wings were awesome – love how much meat was on them. Waffles were cooked perfect. Chicken tenders had lots of flavor without adding any sauce. Mac and cheese was 10/10. Would highly recommend people to give it a try.

for the price and the whole point of the restaurant being chicken themed, I was expecting a lot more. The chicken wings were OK at best. The sauce they used was pretty much the best flavor they had to them. The chicken itself was it had a yellow coloring to it never really seen that before. The funnel cake fries were probably the best except for the strawberry Syrup cheap tasted cheap. The mac & cheese Was OK but very soupy. I ordered six items two of those being drinks and paid $50. Got a kids meal with no heat except for it seems they wanted to kill the kid by the spice level. Otherwise, the employees were nice, and the restaurant was clean. The price and the flavor just does not match.

Seen the reviews and had some concerns but I pulled up and the store was clean, the couple working that night were respectful and genuine. And I knew I was in good hands like all state when they recommended what I should and shouldn’t get! Chicken was made to order in I got it in less than 20 min max and it hit the exact spot I was looking for with the price beginning justified by the service and Food. I’ll definitely come back!

I ordered the chicken bites with the second highest spice level, and while the chicken itself was very moist and tender, it unfortunately did not live up to the heat level it promised. Instead of delivering bold, spicy flavor, it mostly tasted like plain chicken with an overwhelming amount of salt. I was expecting much more depth and seasoning, so I left feeling pretty disappointed. On a positive note, the service was great. The cashier was very kind and welcoming, and the wait time was under 10 minutes, which was impressive. However, despite the good service and quick turnaround, the lack of flavor and excessive salt would likely keep me from coming back.

I was really excited to try the new Hangry Joe’s in High Point, but sadly, it didn’t live up to expectations. Yes, the place is spotless (it’s brand new, after all), and the customer service was friendly, but the food was disappointing.

The chicken tenders (fingers)? Way too small. For a place that prides itself on chicken, I expected more. The fries were another letdown—hard and tasted like they had been reheated, making them tough to eat. We also tried their burgers (sando) which was good. The dining area? Surprisingly cramped. Even with just a few customers, it felt uncomfortably crowded.

I really wanted to love this place, but right now, it’s just not hitting the mark. Hopefully, they step it up because the potential is there!

Food was absolutely abysmal. We got the chicken bites and chicken fingers, waffle fries and a Oreo shake. Everything tasted like it had been cooked, frozen, left in the freezer for a month, and then cooked again while still frozen. There were zero redeeming qualities of either the chicken or the waffle fries. Their sauce(got hangry and spicy BBQ) was mid at best. The hangry sauce tasted like siracha, mayonnaise and way too many random spices thrown together. The bbq wasn’t bad but it was watery, so when you dipped the bites, basically nothing stayed on them. I think the bbq would be good cooked into something but not as a dip or covering after cooking. The milkshake was actually very good, but they only filled the cup up 3/4 full and didn’t include the cherry. Oh, the pickle….it tasted more like a cucumber they dipped in pickle juice, which honestly wasn’t that bad. Just not what I had expected. I didn’t interact much with the staff but they seemed nice. It’s just a small shop. Not many places to sit but fine for take out.

We went for the grand opening. The restaurant space is very clean and well lit. Being the grand opening, everyone that worked there was ready to assist customers and very helpful. One heat level called “Angry Hot” required a waiver before you could eat it, so I decided to try it out. It wasn’t very hot…like at all. So that was disappointing. The wings were good-sized and flavorful, just not spicy at all.
Now let’s talk price. 6 wings cost $11.49 plus an additional fee to “make it a meal” with fries and a drink. 6 tenders cost $14. Add in drinks and the bill came to $40 after tip. That’s a bit expensive for what we got.
Overall, it was something new to try, but we won’t be going back just based on price alone.

We were very excited to finally try because it’s Halal. Had been waiting for them to open and they kept on changing opening date.
First impression not so good. The restaurant was so dirty as well as the tables. I guess they didn’t prepare for the amount of crowd they got. Food was mild in flavor so cant say much. Wings weren’t cooked inside. They were busy.
We would give it another try and see if they have improved.

Nice to have something a little different in High Point. First order was to go and it was pretty good. Chicken fingers and fries were great. Sauces were tasty. Hopefully they continue in the correct direction. I would definitely give them another try! The pickles were probably my favorite.

Had heard good things and decided to give it a try for lunch. It was not bad, but it was more boring than interesting. I got the Hot Honey chicken, and it was about 90% hot and 10% honey – there just was almost no honey sweetness nor flavor. The heat was an OK level, my issue was lack of honey not too much heat. The chicken itself was good, tender, crisp outside; quite good.

The rest of the food: mediocre. One message I offer is “not everything has to be hot”. The fries were over-done, not very hot, and way too much seasoning salt. Good fresh cut fries do not need that much help. I also got mac & cheese, and while quite good (but again, doesn’t really need all that hot seasoning salt on top), it was barely a spoonfull. See the attached photo — that is how it came before I took a bite. Compare it to the image from their menu. That’s a huge and should be embarrassing difference.

The place was clean, bright, the staff (well, only saw one) was friendly and helpful.

Overall it shows promise, the chicken was good, but the sides and sauces need some work. And seriously — fill the cup up when serving a side, food is not cheap, but this is now how to make a profit.
