First off, the food and service were fantastic, and I don’t think that was “just” because it was slow. I got a pic of my burger, and oh yes I will be ordering THAT again – YUM! The staff was happy to chat with us, from the bartender just making small talk, to the cook coming out to not only check on our dietary restrictions, but to laugh and chat with us as well. LOVE when we get to chat with the staff and are welcomed to hang out, instead of feeling rushed to finish our food and “get out” so more customers can dine.
Second, oh my goodness, this place is SO MUCH LARGER than it appears on the outside, or even at the front door. MULTIPLE Rooms of dart boards, a separate area for pool tables, a massive dance floor, space for live entertainment, even a raised separated seating area filled with massive reclining chairs, and that’s all before even mentioning the regular tables, bar, and the outside seating! Which, there’s more than just “one” bar. Just what the what?! I haven’t seen this massive of a layout for a bar, since “It’s” in Fayetteville!
Third, music. Vibe is definitely country honky-tonk, with apparently line dancing classes on Sunday evenings. Haven’t been able to check that out yet, but I’m hoping that we can soon. But, considering this is more of a honky-tonk vibe, expect thumping country music from the past 30 years. BIG screens behind the stage by the dance floor, was playing country music videos. BUT, it wasn’t “so loud” that we couldn’t hear each other talk up at the bar, which for me is a bonus.
Lastly, it pulls off the “vast yet intimate” vibe… so depending on your mood, you can either be in a mass social setting, or off in a private corner. I’ve seen massive dance halls where you couldn’t find a quiet spot to save your life, and I’ve seen literal underground speak-easy’s that were nothing BUT a grouping of walled off private corners, and yet they expected you to be able to dance to live entertainment. This is the happy medium, that most bars can’t provide. My 40+years of “clubbing” has shown me that much.
So, if you’re looking for a place to do some boot-scootin’, enjoy a REALLY good burger and top-notch onion rings, indulge in an old fashioned made with Woodford Reserve, and enjoy some good vibes all around, DEFINITELY check this place out!
Sax player the band had added some great sound! They played a lot of retro… INXS, Modern English- Melt With You, Duran Duran…
The new name is “Hangout Seafood & Chophouse”. It appears to a old beach bar with new upscale name. The prices were fairly low for most of the food portions that came out.
I invited some friends to join me for a Offline event. The entire service was so slow from the time we walked in the door. Host sat us with no food menus or utensils, they appeared to be very under staffed, long wait time on food and beverages, the servers kept going table to table asking if the order was theirs, entrees would come out with missing food items or partially cold. It took them 2 hours to cook my thin ribeye to medium and the side items were so cold that the butter wouldn’t melt. The seafood platter came out 30 mins quicker but missing side items. I explained this issues to two managers that stopped by, as well as, the server and neither of them made any attempt to get us the rest of our meal or hot side items.
Special thankyou to Monti, who was proactive & noticed the chaos. He seemed to be the only person that knew what customer service was.
The pour service was disappointing from the start. Drinks were poorly made, inconsistent, and lacked balance—especially surprising given the venue’s focus on cocktails. Several orders were incorrect, and even when remade, they still tasted rushed and sloppy.
Food was equally underwhelming. Items came out lukewarm, poorly plated, and lacked flavor. For a venue promoting a full dining experience alongside entertainment, the kitchen execution simply wasn’t there. Timing was also an issue, with long waits despite the restaurant not being overly busy. Not to mention the Chicken Tenders were not cooked and still raw.
Service overall felt disorganized and inattentive. Servers seemed overwhelmed or disengaged, and follow-up was minimal once orders were dropped. There also seemed to be a clear identity conflict—whether this was meant to be a full-service restaurant, an entertainment venue, a sports bar, or a dive bar—which showed in the lack of cohesion across service, food, and beverage.
If you’re coming strictly for the entertainment, you’ll likely have a great time—the performers deserve credit. But if you’re expecting quality food, well-crafted cocktails, or attentive service, this place has a lot of room for improvement before it can justify the experience it’s trying to offer.
Karaoke/Ladies night. Karaoke was supposed to start at 8.
We walked in around 7:40. Maybe 15 people in a large bar & restaurant probably rated for 200. She ordered tenders and loaded fries. She didn’t actually want the fries loaded, only cheese & bacon with ranch dressing. A couple of drinks. She asked when karaoke started.
‘Usually around 8:30.’
The drinks were on the table in 3 minutes. The food was presented in 10 minutes. Three strips were actually 3 half breasts, breaded and fried perfectly. The special order fries were exactly what she asked for.
Karaoke started about 8:45 with a few very obvious locals leading it off. Around 9:10 a few groups of ladies came in, but sat by the door and didn’t participate in the vocal shenanigans.
Good food. Great service. There are just too many bar/restaurants within 100 yards for this to work well, IMHO.
The noise level (because we’re both in our late 50s) made it difficult to have a conversation. It also made it hard to sing as the music volume completely drowned out the ability to hear oneself
Nice place. Clean. Great service. Really good, generous portions of food. Reduce the volume so old folks can talk (we were probably the 50%tile for age in late 50s) and people can hear themselves sing to tell if they’re in the right tone and at the right cue.
Lots of fun
Turn the volume down. Start the entertainment on time. Get the people by the door to participate and drag their friends into it, and you’re onto something
Plenty of seating.Sectioned building layout that allows for people to play darts, games, pool table, etc . Food is good and within reasonable prices. Had the appetizer Philly steak and cheese egg rolls on point! We will back for more for sure
